This sort of thing usually reflects three separate dynamics I've noted: it shows some don't take time to process things before responding; some don't develop much of a sense of context of the poster; and many don't read every post in the thread even when there's not that many to read or they'd "get it." Of course, now I've ruined it. :D

But not really. Many will come along, read the OP and nothing else, think you're dead serious (because they are serious about equally silly propositions), and just respond without reading anything else first. :)
