I got some tickets to the skins and browns game and this will be my first redskins home game. I live in Southside Richmond and I was wondering how long the commute will be with traffic? Its about a 2 hour drive or so with light traffic and I need to know when i need to leave so that I can be there in time. Also, any tips on getting out of there the quickest? I hear the traffic is horrendous after the game.

The seats are in section 142, row 18, seat 23.

Also I have a green parking pass. What does this mean really?

Sorry for all the questions I just dont want to be late or mess something up.

P.S. can you bring digital cameras to the stadium ?

Richmond to Waldorf is about 2 hours, a little less if you drive fast. then its another 45 mins from there roughly, assuming you go the 301 rout and cross the NICE BRIDGE into MD. Just keep going from there until you come to "Central Ave" aka rout 214 and go west on that. Takes you right to FedEx. THe drive is much more scenic than boring 95.

Yes you can bring digital cameras into the stadium

Parking map can be found here
http://wai.redskins.com/redskinsFile/images/fedexfield/FedExFieldMap-r.pdf

But there is a new updated map i think, you'll see signs directing you to the green lots once you get close to the stadium. Enjoy the game!

Also you can google map the stadium, it will probably take you to 95 but you can rerout it for 301, its only 15 mins longer of a drive.
Give yourself about 3 hours total to get here. P.S. If you go back 301 south there IS a toll, i think its 2 or 3 bucks. Its worth it though as traffic going back down 95 can be bad after games like you said.

if you want to get out there quickest, park in the tailgate field for $25. the entrance is off of 202, one light past the stadium (if you are coming from 95)

If you use your green pass, its going to take a while to get out - so be prepared. Just dont be like those we dont speak of and leave the game early to beat traffic. That's a no go.

if you want to kill some time after the game, head over to the players parking lot (across the street from the tailgate club) and try to score some autographs as the players leave

those are pretty good seats by the way, you should be happy. If you look behind and above your seats, you should see Dan Snyders box as well as the FOX announcers box

enjoy

Remember patience is a virture. It will be tested getting there and leaving. I would say at the latest leave around 12. And those are some great seat to watch the Browns get whooped. HTTR

Exactly. The official ES Tailgate is in the Green lot anyway. Come park by us, introduce yourself, hang out and talk football before the game. If I were you I'd be leaving at 8:30 or 9 to take in as much of the experience as I could. Sounds like this is something you don't get to do often.

It's going to be late when you get home. I'd be surprised if you could make it home before midnight, but there's no way around it.

The secret to a pleasant day at FedeEx:

Go Early, Stay Late and Win!

Like others have said.... stop by the ES Tailgate! We don't bite (much)!

Whatever you do, DO NOT have a schedule. Trying to keep it (especially after the game) can/will ruin your whole day!

Camera are ok to bring in. Get some good shots from those seats, shouldnt be to hard!

I am thinking around a 2 hour drive.Sunday's traffic isn't usually that bad.
But you never know for sure.Leave early!

Just a little heads up.They should let us in around 12:15 to tailgate.

After you get on I-95 North take exit 17B (Rt 202, Landover Rd), to Brightseat (1st light), turn left.
Stay straight Brightseat turns into Redskins road and then you will see a lot of great drunkin Skin fans.http://i213.photobucket.com/albums/cc284/athensgrunt/lol.gif
Try to stay in left lane.Come to around Orange E22 for a beer and bacon.
