View Full Version : Conservatives: If Obama wins, how will you react?

I know some of you will be level headed about it. There's not really anything the average Joe can do, right?
Others of you will probably run around like a chicken with its head cut off.:silly:
Describe what you will do on November 5th if McCain loses.

Same thing Al Gore and John Kerry did.

Honestly, the same thing most of us here will do if Obama loses. We'll mope and curse a little bit and then go back to work and our daily lives. Me, I'll hope that Senator McCain turns out to be a great President and that Palin is far more proficient and wise than she has seemed as yet.

Same thing Al Gore and John Kerry did.
I supported both of them.
I distinctly remember just being pissed off the next day. Didn't do anything drastic.
If McCain wins this time, though, I might start building a bomb shelter.:silly:

Eh nothing drastic.
The one good thing is the Democrats in Congress wont be able to hide their stupidity behind Bush anymore.
Just look forward to 2010 I guess

You may be right, but I don't see the huge tax increase that some see - especially in the first term of a President, I suppose I could be wrong.

That's why all the recent attacks on Obama are scary. Two weeks from now millions of Americans are going to think that an anti-American muslim terrorist commie is set to become the President of the United States. Who knows what will happen.

I'll be doing the same thing I always do that day of the week.
No use to get mad about things you don't really have any control over.
And I will respect Obama as our new president and hope he does well.
You may be right, but I don't see the huge tax increase that some see - especially in the first term of a President, I suppose I could be wrong.
Oh, I'm pretty confident that he will end up raising taxes on both the "upper" and "middle" classes in order to pay for the incredible debt our government has accrued.

I dunno if I count as a conservative, but I won't be completely upset. I wasn't really gung ho about either McCain or Obama. The way I see it, WE are losing no matter who wins.

Probably the same way the liberals did when Bush won. Whine, complain, make jokes about his race and how stupid he is.
Wear shirts that state "Obama, Not my president"
claim media biased. Blame the voting proccess. Cry foul and claim there was voter fraud and cheating on the part of Obama.
Say he stole the election. ya know, stuff like that!!!

The same thing I do no matter who wins. Take a wait and see approach.
Although, I will laugh at how the media tries to make everyone of his decisions the greatest thing in the history of mankind. Then, for the ones that fail, I will laugh at how pathetic they are at trying to cover it up.

Yeah but the difference is we will probably have another CARTER-like presidency and have to ressurect the term "misery index"

Yeah but the difference is we will probably have another CARTER-like presidency and have to ressurect the term "misery index"
and where is the misery index at right now after 8 years of Dub'YA?
You have the Republican nominee for president running ads saying, "the last 8 years haven't been good have they? i'll make them better."
it is obvious to me their is a divide in the Republican party, I'm hoping this means they will distance themselves from the Christian Coalition and the Pat Robersons of the world and take their party back.

Lol, that's actually kind of funny...I know people who have done every one of those things.
If Obama gets elected, the one refreshing thing will be not having to hear, on a daily basis, people piss and moan about how much they hate Bush, how stupid he is, how he lied, how he is the cause of all the bad things that happen in this world :blahblah:

A Dem Congress and WH will be interesting. They have been doing anything they can for Bush, so I would imagine Pelosi and Reid are bursting to approve any and all of Obamas socialist crap.

It won't be all that sad because McCain isn't really a conservative, and I think it's likely that Obama will be Carter on steroids, thus making it likely that we can get a real conservative in the white house in 2012 (Bush isn't all that conservative either).

I just hope after the Dems mess up the country there will be change in the political system and not a shift back toward the Republican party.

If you want to be a Sarge you're going to have to flat out make stuff up. That, and use racial epithets casually. Kind of a big distinction there IMO. If being a Sarge amounts to being 100% for your guy then I am a Sarge.
