So, where are you in fantasy football standings? I am 4-3 and sitting in fourth place. This year my quarterbacks(we start 2) Phillip Rivers and Drew Brees have carried me, as well as my WRs Reggie Wayne, Steve Smith, Vincent Jackson, and Dwayne Bowe. If I had better RBs I would probably be in 1st. I currently have Ryan Grant, DeAngelo Williams, and Julius Jones, and have gone through plenty looking for points(Chris Perry, Laurence Maroney, Kevin Smith, LenDale White...I should probably pick up White he's on waivers currently. I just figure Johnson gets the bulk of the carries). It also seems like everytime I lose my opponent goes off, not because my team struggles. For instance this week I scored 109.96 points but my opponent had Green Bay's defense, Adrian Peterson, and Calvin Johnson(what a lucky game. 2 catches for 154 yards and a TD. Such bull****). Oh well.....

So how's your team doing?

Phenominal. 7-0 in my ESPN league. I've had some unfortunate luck as of late as Addai and Bush are injured but I've got some really good depth in Chris Johnson and Steve Slaton

6-1 in second place. This weeks opponent is 6-1 aswell so it should be interesting. Unfortunately, B.Barrian has a bye this week. He's really helped me make up for the lack of A.Boldin. AB's coming back this week right? Think he'll be ok? Both of my TE's are on a bye this week aswell (something i shouldve noticed earlier). So i grabbed Seattle's TE. With 14 teams, its slim pickings. JC & CP have been both been doing really good for me.

Wow.. are we already at the halfway point?

Well, in my money league I am the highest scoring team in the league, but I'm currently in 2nd place with a 4-3 record. Go figure.

I seem to be running into teams when they have their best scoring week. This week I lost to one of the worst teams in the league - had one win coming into the week and had Cassel as his QB. I was up by 27 going into last nights game and, of course, Cassel all of a sudden becomes the next Tom Brady and lights up the Broncos. I lose. Last week I lost to another average team...all I needed from Eli was 6 points for a win...against the Browns. He got me 6...but then had those points wiped away with the 3 picks he threw.

The good news is I am remaining competitive despite injuries and bye weeks. I've had to live without Willie Parker for the last month - so I've been using Portis ( a beast) and Julius Jones (a bum) at RB. My starting WR's this week were all waiver wire pickups due to injuries/bye weeks/etc. I had Malcolm Floyd, Josh Reed and Brandon Jones at WR - ugh. But this week I get Chambers back from injury (it appears) and Fitzgerald comes off the bye...

So I'm hoping for a strong run down the stretch. And I'm hoping my luck changes a bit because I'm putting up the points but not coming away with the W...

in the ES dynasty league im 5-2 and sitting in 2nd place in my division, the 3rd ranked team overall, and holding on to the wildcard spot in the playoffs. so not bad there since i have a weak WR group and my QB was carson palmer to start with (replaced him with orton). the funny thing is that my losses have occurred the same week as the skins, so if i win out, so will they. haha

in my ES espn keeper league, im 5-2 on a 4 game win streak. pretty strong team there. my RBs are addai, forte, slaton, and chris johnson. and my WRs are wayne, jennings, welker, royal, muhammad. had romo at QB but put him on IR. and its IDP and all my guys are pretty much top 8 at their respective positions.

in my ES nfl.com league im 5-2 as well, first on my division, 2nd overall. squeaked out a 1 point come from behind win with cutler and marshall last night. decent roster with cutler, portis, graham, thomas jones, chris johnson. the WRs were stacked at the draft with braylon edwards, plax, and brandon marshall. added muhammad from waivers.

my ES yahoo league is the best record. 6-1. started with a 6 game win streak. brees and bush killed me this week. but im still 1 game up on 2nd place. and the closest team in total scoring is almost 300 points behind me. ive got 1547 points on the season and the 2nd highest is at 1279. got brees, wayne, bowe, evans, bush, peterson. but its a really good return yardage league, so the guys getting me a ton of points are bush, steve breaston, johnny lee higgins, leon washington. and josh wilson playing on the IDP has over 100 points on the season so far, mostly from return yards.

haha. yeah.

though, i drafted normal like you and everyone else. just after a week or two noticed that the return guys were getting far more points than the normals so picked them up off waivers. guess no one else noticed it.

though it burned me a bit this week since holt didnt play and brees and bush had off games.

4-3 in my socom clans yahoo league (started 0-2)

3-4 in my buddies 12 team keeper league. (started 0-4)

Just had the highest score for a week in my yahoo league. Both leagues are money leagues of course. Sometimes i wonder how many people actually dont play for money, and then I wonder why?

Got a tough bye week coming up in my yahoo league though. Thought i was going to be ok but Larry Johnson has assured me I wont. Having to start Maurice Morris and possibly that rookie Rb from NE (cant remember his name)..ugh. Still have C.P. Rivers, S. Moss, Steve Smith and Calvin Johnson though, and Bmore's D at home against Oak. Hopefully i can make it through the week unscathed.

I don't play any fantasy football for money. If i'm gonna take someone's money over a football game or games....there are better ways to do it than through fantasy sports.

I pretty much avoid Cowboys players in Fantasy Football as it is....but if i got stuck with a T.O or a Marion Barber lets say...and i had to rely on them doing well to win me money, i think i'd probably throw up and turn in my man card.

Oh and for the record I am:

3 - 4 in the ES Dynasty League. It's been a rocky road with Westbrook and Willie Parker as my starting RB's....plus we drafted back in FEBRUARY. Never drafted that early before...quite the learning experience i must say.

3 - 4 in my 10 team Yahoo League. This league was like an experiment this year for me. I drafted way differently in this league than any of my others, mostly going with guys i didn't have on my radar just to vary things up from my other 3 leagues. And honestly, it hasn't worked out so well. LOL, probably the last time i'll go with different guys just to have a completely different roster in one league.

5 - 2 in the Public Yahoo Leauge that i joined. This league plays only a team defense and no IDP's.....that's new to me. I've always played IDP's, but i gotta say i'm enjoying this league. Only the top 4 make the playoffs and i'm sitting in 3rd right now.

4 - 3 in my buddy's Yahoo league. I'm stacked in this league at RB, and i think i have the best shot to win a championship here. The last two years i've made it to the Fantasy Superbowl in this league and lost. Not this time fellas.

I've never played in 4 fantasy football leagues at a time, and i can tell you that it's one too many. I'm not even gonna play fantasy basketball this year because i have too much on my plate with 4 football leagues, a hockey league, a Monday Night Football pool, a wife and a son. I'm having a VERY average fantasy football year....i'm typically always in the top half of the standings in my leagues. But in two leagues i'm 3 - 4 and i think it's because i've spread myself too thin to concentrate on my teams the way i should. Next year, no more than 3 teams. LOL

2-6 in 8th place, but 5th in points scored :(

Ten team league with six making the playoffs and im only 2 games back from the playoffs right now so everything is still open.

The fantasy gods sure have been loving on me. 2 weeks ago, Sammy Morris needed to get only 7 points in the 2nd half of that new england blowout vs broncos, but he gets injured. His backups put up 14 more fantasy points combined.

Last week, Peyton through that PICK in fourth quarter (he had peyton i had titans d) and I went up by 2 points, but because tennesee scored so quickly, they gave up a garbage time drive + td to peyton.

edit: lost both games :(

I'm seriously looking in to doing a points league next year. IMO its the fairest way, fantasy matchups are random and mean nothing about the caliber of team you built. the two teams in no way directly interact with each other except for the off chance that two of your players are playing each other.
