Ok, whoever got the bright idea to start that e-mail about the 60th anniversary deal at Wendy's today, screw you.

There were no 25 cent hamburgers
There were no 30 cent cheeseburgers
There were no 15 cent small fries
There were no 10 cent small soft drinks


Wendy's was PACKED today because of this e-mail/text/word of mouth, and it was false information.

If you were planning on going to Wendy's today because of this anniversary deal, don't even bother.

Campus was abuzz about it today, we love deals like the one claimed to be occurring today :(

Something similiar happened with Starbucks. Someone at work got an email saying you could get a free coffee of your choice and printed out a bunch of these things and handed them out to people in our office. One guy actually tried it and said the manager was pissed at him and thought it was a scam. I'm sure there were others that got caught by that as well.

McDonald's this summer, for one day, gave out free Southern-Style Chicken sandwiches with the purchase of a small drink. I had one for lunch and one for dinner.

Also, I remember that McDonald's did some kind of price rollback on an anniversary celebration many years ago.
