All week in the WP and WT there were articles describing how the two all-star vets were riding the younger guys to work hard and prepare well for the season upcoming.
Well, based on looking at tonight's contest, these guys could stand to look in the mirror. While Thomas came back with 10 points and 8 rebounds and Nick Young got 10 off the bench, what did the two vets do?
3-10 shooting for Butler. 6-16 for Jamison.
That was the difference tonight against a very mediocre Nets team.
For the Wizards to win without Arenas, Butler and Jamison have to combine for between 35-45 points and shoot in the 47% range.
The shooting numbers tonight were awful and the rebounding totals were not that great either considering the competition.
