I swear, BSPN is at it again, this time in my fantasy league. Can someone answer me how in the hell the Cards D/ST can be awarded with 10 points before the game has even started?! I was leading my opponent by 4.9 points entering today, with only his Cards D/ST left to play.
Well I look at my fantasy league right before this game, and I am behind by about 5 points, with the Cards already standing with 10 points. Right after the opening kickoff was taken back for a TD, I watched the points go from 10 to 4, where it stands now. WTF it should be at -6!
It's pretty pathetic I guess to get this worked up over FF, but this is a pay league...

its probably an error, or you're looking at the projected stats.....or they could have corrected stats for someone who played yesterday.

I think they awarded two points late last night to his team way after games had ended, and that may be part of the "corrected stats" part. But this is definitely an error. It's not the projected stats, it's actually what they have right now, which is still 4 points, but without the 10 they started the game with, should be -6...like I mentioned.
Although with the way the Cards D/ST is playing right now, I may not have to worry about it. I'm gonna be a whiner (hehehe) if I lose by less than 10 points.
edit: down to 1 point after that TD.

It's because the score was 0-0, and you get bonus points for your defense shutting the other team out. It happens at the start of each fantasy game.

BINGO - you start with 10 points and it goes down (or up) from there based on if the opponent scores or your defense gets turnovers, etc.

Wow.
Gore, you have to score there...that's inexcusable.

So they'll need to spike it again here quickly....should be a crazy ending.

Spike the stupid ball and set up a play.
Just terrible playcalling.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! How amazingly stupid can San Fran be. Thank God Im not a fan of that team. Well, either team for that matter. Geez.

November-10th-2008, 11:07 PM
Wow, terrible execution on that last play, and not a great play call if you ask me.
Arizona was ready to stop that, and why in the world to you give to Michael Robinson instead of Frank Gore?
Play fake would have probably caught them too.

If they run a bootleg, Hill could have walked in.

November-10th-2008, 11:08 PM
Yeah, that was pretty bad. They should have at least spiked the ball and set something up.

Screw em, they didn't even deserve to be that close imo.

November-10th-2008, 11:08 PM
That was a terrible play. Bootleg, qb drag = TD all day. Everyone on ARZ crashed inside, Hill would have scored with ease.
Gosh I wish SF won.

I'm assuming they thought they would have caught Zona off guard by running it?

Man! If our chances of making it into the playoffs lies solely on beating San Fran in the last game of the season... I feel VERY STRONG about our chances.

DADGUMMIT!!! I really wanted the Niners to win that one. They totally handed it away. If I'm the HC, I call three straight pass plays on 2nd and goal and don't even bother with the run. That one is ALL on Singletary.

J-man! What do you think of all this? Haha, I think it should be illegal for any NFC West team to be allowed in the playoffs this season. It makes me sad knowing one will make it.

No wonder SF sucks..whats a lousy playcall there..Spike the ball setup a play properly...

SF just flat out sucks. Outside of Gore on O, and Willis on D, they are awful.
Should have playfaked to GORE, would have caught everyone on ARZ off guard and Hill should have run it in. Geez. That was brutal.

The NFC West is a joke.
None of those teams would have a shot in any other division in football.

They get to the 1 with 38 seconds left and then take 15 to spike it?
Then they try to run it twice? The second time w/o even really setting up the offense.
UGH.

What up bro? I agree with you. Im just soooo happy to not be a Niners fan. We fans here complained about Gibbs playcalling for years, but that doesnt come close to how bad that last sequence of events was for the Niners. Man, awful.

Put me out there and I could put up Warner's numbers with Fitz and Boldin as my receivers. I wish we had someone similar.
Then you'd start infront of leinhart has well.. because he couldn't do it.

By that point in the season, Singletary might have his pants off for the entire game, not just in the locker room.

Haha! It would be great to have solidified whatever playoff position we have at that time, that way we could give ourselves a little bye week before the playoffs. But Im sure we'll take it right down to the final minute of the season just like 05 and 07.

Wow I watched that game last night and what TERRIBLE playcalling in the end by S.F. You get the ball at the 2 with 40 seconds left and first and goal and
A. you spike it twice and only get two plays of?
B. the two plays you do run are running playes that are totally rushed?
I do not get why they did not just run 4 passes. They had plenty of time to do that and either it is a touchdown or an incomplete pass which stops the clock. That was just ATTROCIOUS coaching that cost them the game. Too bad cuz I like Singletary but that was inexcuseable.

For me the crazy thing was they wasted 26 seconds TO SPIKE THE DAMN BALL...at least run a play after all that time for goddsakkkekeessss

Yeah, they had 42 seconds left. They should have lined up with the players they had and either spiked it or threw a fade so if they missed it, the ball winds up incomplete. They wasted 22 seconds getting personnel in there and then spiking it. Then they get 2 plays off and both were runs, with no timeouts left. I could have swore they were wearing burgundy jerseys.

So I just got back from AZ...what a game. AZ fans are ********s and I officially hate the Cardinals now. My boyfriend is soooo pissed....all day he's been complaining about how Gore wasn't the one to run the last play. Crazy game. Arizona thinks they're the ****...but look at their division!!!

Reminds me another situation where a team lost because of poor goal line playcalling, finished with a stuffed run to their backup RB.
Need I remind anyone.
