I agree with a lot of what you said, but you have to remember that words are typed and posted in moments, but they stay on the message board for an eternity (unless lost in the transition to a new board! :silly:). In other words, someone's fleeting thought typed in frustration may be a feeling only at that moment and not how the person usually feels. However, due to its permanency on this board and being read much later than the moment when it was written, it takes on a bigger meaning. When JC doesn't throw the ball away and gets sacked, sometimes I get frustrated and rant to everyone around me. However, my comments at that moment don't reflect how I feel about JC in general. If I posted at ES during games, I would probably be one of the people you are complaining about. My posts might seem like exaggerated complaints, but actually theyd be just vents of what's happening at that moment.

This isn't to say that everyone typing "the sky is falling" posts is feeling that way only at the moment they type it. Some people feel that way in general. However, I think many of the negative posts are kneejerk reactions to things. I couldn't even guess a percentage because I don't read most of the negative stuff. As soon as I see the direction it's heading, I read other posts or other threads. I advise you do the same since the negativity bothers you so much.

I mean seriously, this season is panning out to be just like we thought it would before it started. The Giants win the division, the Cowboys come in second and the Eagles barely make the playoffs in yet another late season run. Us, we're just stuck down on the bottom with a below .500 season. Pretty sad... the thing that is pretty sad though, is that people still think that this is possible. The Giants aren't that good. The Cowboys, we'll they are an implosion waiting to happen. It's always something with this team. If one piece is not broken, then some other piece is broken.

The Bigger issue is the front office. The Redskin's salary cap is maxed out. They cannot strengthen one position without weakening another.

I didn't ask to be a Cowboys fan. It was forced upon me... by the OP who didn't know the ways of the ninja.

There isn't anything wrong with the Cowboys... except for everything. The Cowboys and their fans are horrible, horrible people. Equivalent to or worse than Philly.

With the Giants game coming up, it's going to be close. Especially with Eli Manning and the Manning face... which is truly scary, but not in a good way. And it might be close, but I'm damn sure the Redskins will come out on top of that dog fight!

Well bye then. We don't want you. Anyone who calls themself a fan, and can just denounce their team like that, is no real fan in my opinion. I may get really pissed off at the skins sometimes, but I could never denounce them (may have said it in anger a couple of times though lol).

You are absolutely correct sir. You should always blindly support your team. However you should sometimes read behind what you really see. I love the Redskins. At the same time I don't think that the Cowboys suck... I think they blow. Apparently me thinking that they blow isn't good enough for some people.

Well the thread wasn't ORIGINALLY about my quote. It was about how some people don't deserve to be Redskins fans and somehow moved to my love of the Cowboys... losing. I have certainly found it rather amusing and have had a lot of fun with it over the last couple of days though.
