Yep, that time again when college kids across the country pull all nighters, pop adderall, and are generally in a ****ty mood.

So who else is slaving away tonight only to be distracted by ES.

not tonight, but will be soon.

Supposed to be "dead" week here at WVU, but for me finals has started early, starting with a paper due today. Then a oral exam for spanish and another test on Wednesday.

Paper due tomorrow on stem cells. 1 page down.

Then I got a paper on ethics and the justice system due Wednesday.

Then I got a 10 minute speech I need to give on Wednesday about stem cells.

Throw in like 3 math tests I need to make up, actual final exams in three other classes, and yeah, life sucks.

These next two weeks are going to suck. Royally.

I don't plan on getting much sleep.

I'm in the middle of a ridiculously convoluted paper on anxiolytic drugs and their effect on rats.

LMAO. That's exactly what it is too. I need an f'n typewriter.

Ugh, I make this stuff so much more complicated then it has to be. I think on the next one I'm just going to sit on the toilet in the bathroom and write it out by hand then come back when I'm done and type it. I'll probably start playing with myself and reading shampoo labels then though. Disaster.

December-2nd-2008, 02:32 AM
Do the papers have to be double-spaced? I'm assuming so, since that is standard. Remember to type single-spaced at first, and then eventually double-space it so you can see how much it grows. Or possibly make the spacing 2.1 or 2.2 lol. ;)

Haha, at least I was able to turn off my TV and keep it off. Not like there is anything good on right now anyway.

Woohoo, two whole pages done now. The rest I can probably bull**** and be fine.

Also here's a tip... Go to Find & replace... In the Find put "." and in the replace put "." but make the replacement one a larger font by like 2 or 4 points... Nothing noticeable but it adds length

I remember that...I remember that WV nearly blew a 28 point lead and barely hung on. ;) But at least UGA took out their wrath on VA Tech in their bowl game the next year, and especially on Hawaii when they were in the Sugar Bowl again last year. Silly BCS noobs. :D

Mine are starting up here this week too. I have 2 papers to write, due next week. One of them is just a final copy of a rough draft I already did though. The other is just a series of 6 questions, about 1 page each. Then I've got a final this Saturday, one next week, and one the 15th. Nice and spread out so I don't have to cram so much.

Good luck to everyone with your finals!

Off the top of my head, I know I have finals on the 15th, 16th, and 17th, and a 20 page term paper due on the 10th as well as a 5 page paper for a class and a 12 page for one class on the 10th.

Warhead36

What classes are you taking?

PHIL 100, CHEM 103, OM 210, and SOM 301.

OM and SOM will be a bit tough. I don't care about PHIL and will probably pass the class with a C anyway and CHEM is easy.

But even last semester I had three 300 level classes and didn't really have to pull all nighters or do any of the other crazy stuff people do to study for finals. I guess I'm just able to retain information better than some people.

It really depends on the class and how much work you put into it. I didn't put any work into ECON and still crushed the tests because most of it was basic supply/demand or basic human psychology. didn't study for my english classes. didn't study for Discreet Math. Didn't study for CS 211, didn't study for University Physics (though a lot of that was review from high school).

Calc 2 I will be studying for because I never learned it in the class (he spent 45 minutes telling us that 'frustum' was not spelled 'frustrum' one time; basically, class time is a joke) and didn't do any of the homework, hence, I need to learn the stuff I haven't ever learned.

Signal analysis is a ****ing complicated subject. very first thing we learned in that class was that cos(2pi*f*t+phi) = (e^(j*2pi*f*t+phi) + e^(-j*2pi*f*t+phi))/2 where j is an imaginary number, and it hasn't gotten any easier. another class where you don't learn much in class (though this teacher actually explains the subject, but rather through the homework (which I didn't put enough effort into doing).

For the first month or so it is. RLC circuits, Magnetically coupled inductors, Ohms law and the rest. But after that you get in to Laplace transforms, indepth power calculations and some more fun stuff.
