EDIT: I'll add that I love it even more when it's in the Meadowlands. Feels great.

I never wanted Kolb in. I always want Reid gone. I'm indifferent towards McNabb.

I still say that McNabb is one of the best with the occasional hiccup. We could use his ability to move in the pocket and buy time in the pocket with our OL playing horribly.

The Giants will win the division. They will have a bye. This loss was coming. The Eagles played a very good game especially Westbrook. And the Giants' WR's can't handle the bad weather. They had a lot of very key drops.
Enjoy it now and good luck fighting for a playoff spot. That Cowboys/Eagles game could be huge.

The Giants did a lot of things they normally don't do. It cost them. But, the Eagles also get some credit for playing well and having a great game plan. Especially keeping the ball away from the Giants' offense.

The worst part of this loss is that I can no longer mock the fact that Football Outsiders ranks the Eagles 3rd in the NFL.

I haven't read anything below this post yet, but if you're a Skins fan and wanted the Giants to lose...stupid. The Giants WILL win this division and there's NO doubt about that. That means any of the Giants games against our division or wild card foes, we want the Giants to win.
As for the Eagles, I think it's a little to late. They seem to play their best when they have ****ty odds.

See, there are two sides to football games, with two sets of fans who have diverse interests and agendas.

Because it means I get to watch at least one more meaningful game this season, and up to three more meaningful games after that.

If I'm a Giants fan I am concerned about one thing: playing home playoff games in January. The wind in New York is killer and it's pretty obvious Eli struggles in the wind. I'm not saying they're not the best team in the NFC, because they still are, but they could struggle against certain teams.

I thought Eli played pretty well for the most part, I'm more worried about the WR's, Eli had the perfect bomb to Hixon which probably would have been a TD but Hixon let it go right through his hands.

At a very important stage of the game, too. The Giants were having a bit of success on the ground early, and that play was a sure TD. After the play, the Giants never really came close to establishing anything.

Well, I dunno know about all that, bro. The Giants are 11-2, true. But the winner of the Tampa/Carolina game will be 10-3. The Panthers also play the Giants in a few weeks. You see where im going with this? The loss might not mean "nothing" in the East, sure. But it definitely means a tougher road ahead for gaining homefield throughout the playoffs.

Wow..you guys are having everything fall right today. 1/2 game out .....hmmmmm
Honestly, for the giants this game was as close to meaningless as you can get. They have a second seed all but wrapped up and for Carloina or T>B to overtake them, they have to pick up 2 games in the last 3. Only meaningful game left is Carolina....NO DAMN INJURIES

To respond about the Eli comments, he played pretty well. This is the first time since he has been QB of the Giants that the offense struggling had nothing to do with him. He played well. The players around him did not.

Congratulations, the Eagles beat the Giants fair and square, maybe those extra days off after the Thanksgiving game gave you time to better prepare, whatever it was, the Giants came out flat, and failed to capitalize on a few key plays. Unfortunately we couldn't end your season today, though I am thankful the game meant considerably less for our guys, and the day didn't turn out all that bad considering we are still Division Champions. Enjoy the remainder of your short season, I'll enjoy watching you guys get knocked out in the coming weeks and watching another mediocre year of Reid and McNabb led Eagles football next year.

Big Blue, I'll take your lack of a response to my defense against your insinuation of inconsistency as an admission of error.

I am not happy they won today but it is going to make them want to play that much harder against the Cowboys. I don't know who I would rather in the playoffs if I had to choose but it will be fun watching to see how the rankings in the playoffs go for the NFC.
Before we worry about that game though, the Eagles and Redskins still have to square off which could eliminate one of them.

Arrogance? Look, Philly played with their backs against the wall , with nothing to lose and it showed. They were phenomenal. Only ONE thing counts...winning in the playoffs. I'd rather the Giants have this stinker now than play this way in the first round. This takes nothing away from Philly. they could go far in the playoffs if they get hot. Lets face it though, this game meant little for the Giants in the big picture. If thats arrogance, than so be it.

Actually, right now, the most hated rival for the Giant fans are the Cowboys. The Eagles are definitely hated but Cowboy fans make them the most hated right now. The Eagles could change that by the end of this season although I definitely hope not.

Tony Romo, T.O., Pac Man, Wade Phillips, and the arrogance that those people have assigned Cowboys fans probably makes the Cowboys the most hated team by all of the other NFC East teams.
But the public at large will always consider the Eagles and Giants one another's most hate rival.

I know what you mean. Hearing about Plax -the-idiot- shooting himself was almost too much for me to handle. Knowing that he'll never be around to bail out Eli when he throws the ball away with a dramatic "EH!" sound is especially enjoyable.

A healthy McNabb and healthy Westbrook can never be overlooked.
Keeping them healthy down the stretch, though, is a challenge for Andy and the boys.
You Philly fans are consistent, though. Have to hand it to you for that.

Maybe AR should just put December calendars up in the locker room next year, as that's when he seems to do his best, lately.
I'm a little surprised Giants fans aren't more concerned than they are. Losing Plax is a much bigger deal than the "experts" think it is/was, IMO. Drove me insane to hear them saying that Plax only had 1 catch in the first game but the Giants still manhandled the Eagles. That's true, but it's because the Eagles doubled Plax and therefore the Giants could run the ball at will. Now that Plax is gone, there isn't a receiver that will draw anywhere near the attention that he got and teams can drop 8 in the box to handle the run and pressure Eli.
Defensively, the Giants DL looked tired, even in the early part of the game, it seemed. And, from the looks of it, when their DL doesn't get pressure, you can move the ball against their D.
Turns out LJ Smith is on the team. I wasn't sure after 12 games if he was or not.
Unfortunately, probably all a little to late for the Eagles. But, at least we have another game or two that mean something.

I guess you guys are very much in the playoff race now, especially if you win out and eliminate Washington and Dallas.
It was a tough loss for us, regardless of the implications...however, it can't be quite as tough as knowing that even if you win out and don't make the playoffs, it will be because of a tie to, yikes, the Bengals.

The Bengals and Bears games are going to be tough to swallow, particularly if they miss the playoffs. Two unforgivable losses for any team that considers itself relevant.

Game on the line with the ball on the one yard line and three runs couldn't get it in. If we were playing the '85 Bears that one would still be tough to swallow.

This is what my skins desperately lack. Heart. As much as I HATE the eagles organization the truth of the matter is they have heart and leadership and grit, things that just can't be measured. How they went from that benching and getting blown out two weeks ago at Baltimore to in my opinion the front runner for a wildcard and very very dangerous if they get in in just two weeks is absolutely astounding to me. Because my team does the inverse of this. They go 6-2 and then collapse like a deck of cards because they have no freaking character at all.
