WASHINGTON -- Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine is set to become the next chairman of the Democratic Party.

Two Democratic officials said Sunday that President-elect Barack Obama has chosen the governor to take over the Democratic National Committee.

I worked for Kaine back in '05. A genuinely good guy. Virginia is tough with the one-and-done for the governors. Hard to stay relevant after that, especially with Webb and Warner holding both senate spots. Glad they're finding a place for him.

he is more of a populist, but his economic (tax, social programs, environment) are more liberal... but hey if you are ok with wedge issue lip service that's fine for the Democrats... and horrible for the GOP

He can't. Biden won't let him, remember? So it's all good.

Besides, Obama wants us to keep our guns. With our economy and production systems in such terrible shape and our military stretched so thin, the citizens' guns are all that prevent Canada from invading us.
