What is your reaction to OSU's lose to Texas in the Fiesta Bowl?

I think they're a decent team from a maligned conference that played better than expected.

As a PSU fan, I rarely wish OSU success, but I was glad to see them represent the Big-10 well. However, Penn State won the Big-10, and I'm not sure that was a conference that deserved two bids. I might have given OSU's bid to Texas Tech had I been in charge.

The one thing I discovered is Pryor is a FREAK of an athlete

But AWFUL at throwing the ball

Doc Walker today said he was "shotputting" the ball all game

He has some work to do there

Speaking of...I am not looking forward to having to face Pryor two more years. We shut him down this year, but he was a freshman. The kid is a tremendous runner, doesn't yet know how to throw properly. I'm almost positive he'll be gone after his junior season. And I can only hope that in the interim, he continues to not learn how to throw.

no ****...me too. I think OSU could lose 3 games in the regular season to non ranked opponents and still get into a BCS bowl

Pryor looks like he is running in slow motion...yet no one can get to him

I would like to pick all 3.

They have lost 3 straight BCS games, which, any way you slice it, is embarrassing. Coupled with the loss to USC earlier in the year, OSU just isnt an elite team like they are advertised to be. The other 2 BCS losses were complete abortions in front of the entire nation.

They WERE overrated from the start and had no business being in that game. There were better teams that didnt make a BCS game (Texas Tech), and going in, i assumed they would get creamed. The PSU/OSU game earlier in the year was the most boring game ive seen in a long time, and while Pryor is going to be an amazing player, at this point in his career, he only makes one read then takes off. His running ability is crazy, but he cant stretch the field yet.

All that being said, OSU dominated the line of scrimmage for 3 quarters (all except the 3rd), and they stood up to a Texas team that really could have been playing on Thursday, so they earned my respect with their play on the field last night AND they showed a lot of class in doing so.

His ability to scramble definitely hinders his development as a passer. McNabb dedicated himself to becoming a pocket passer and arguably became a better QB for it.

OSU is a pretty good team that lost to another pretty good team.

I think the Big 12 offenses are somewhat overrated. I could be wrong, but I knew OSU's defense would slow down Texas and make it a Big Ten football style game. Here's the biggest issue with playing those pass-happy Big 12 teams . . . tackling. They spread you out and make you tackle well and if you don't, you get punished. See the last play that Texas scored on. Having said that, Florida kinda does the same thing. The difference? Florida has amazing speed. I really think Florida's defense will slow down Oklahoma dramatically and I think Florida's offense spreads out Oklahoma's defense for the tune of 400+ yards. To me, Florida is the dominant team in NCAA football.

I tend to agree. Texas Tech struggled in their bowl game on offense

It probably is a function of poor defense in the Big 12. Teams haven't had much trouble scoring on Big 12 teams this bowl season

Texas racked up almost 500 yards and McCoy broke pretty much every Fiesta Bowl passing record, i wouldnt say they were slowed down all that much, especially in the 3rd quarter.

Texas Tech struggled in their bowl game on offense? They scored more against Ole Miss than any other team this year, and with an injured/ineffective Crabtree. Harrell threw for 364 and 4 TDs, setting some Cotton Bowl passing records along the way. They underachieved and played a mediocre game, especially on D, but Ole Miss certainly didn't shut down their offense.

No, you're right. I was pointing more towards the score than the yards. And the 3 and outs in the 3rd quarter really hurt OSU's defense. They never had a chance to catch their breath.

Tressel's playcalling in the 3rd quarter lost this game for tOSU. Hats off to Texas and Mccoy they have a hell of a offensive machine and are a real class act. 1 more thing- Mccoys girlfriend is hott as hell.
