I became the varsity baseball coach for Kecoughtan High School in Hampton Va this past October. In our school district, the teams always have hats that just have a basic letter on it, for example, this school's old hats had a plain "K" on them.

Bang designed a new logo from the bottom up... Got the hats today. Couldn't be happier. They are completely amazing. Not only does the logo look amazing, but Bang was awesome to work with the personalized service was well worth double the price.

Just wanted to thank Bang and share a pic of the hats... (we are the Kecoughtan Warriors, colors are dark green and white). We got game hats, BP hats and beanies for winter work outs.

The hats look great. Bang does great work, doesn't he? He designed my wife's website (http://www.amywed.com/) for her, and we're very happy as well. You're right about the service, too. The silly atheist even sent us a Christmas card! :)

That's pretty damn sweet.

Even though I wonder where the inspiration for the logo came from.:paranoid:

That's good stuff Bang. I used to work in a couple of D1 college athletic departments and a few that went through logo redesigns.

Honestly, that is a lot better than all of the others that I have been a part of. A lot of schools spend a whole lot of money and get cookie cutter stuff...this is really original.

Well done sir.

How many schools have you done this for in the past?

The site is OK, would look better with an Indian head logo, a helmet or at least a few feathers to dress it up.:2cents::)

They should be... but over the past few years, they had a coach that had some health issues and baseball was not taken as seriously as it had in the late 80's to mid 90's... in the past 2 seasons, they've only won 2 games. We have been "conditioning" full bore since October 9th, four days a week. The kids started off slow, not really having the killer instinct or confidence that is needed. My brother (who is my asst coach, and former pro player) and I have been instilling in them the idea of commitment and work ethic. They have really turned the corner. I expect big things from them this year. But even more important, I have a really strong core of young players. I hope to contend beyond regionals in 2 years. That would be huge, but I think I have the core to do it.

Wow! They came out great! Now, I have to get one for my collection, y'know.
Thanks for the compliments everyone, I certainly appreciate it, and go Warriors!
It's always good to get to know some of you, and it's even better doing business with some of you. Glad I could be of service.

Counting this one, one. But, I've designed hundreds of logos, and the inspiration came more from the University of Hawaii logo, it never occurred to me the similarity here til TK mentioned it.

Hmm... subconscious hard at work I guess.. maybe I was arguing (ie: reminding someone why they're wrong. :D ) with one of you guys that day and it was on my mind.

Well that's cool. I played high school baseball myself in Northern Va., AAA level. I swear we finished every season something neutral like 13-11, would win our first district game, and then lose immediately in regionals. Every friggin year, just could never get over the hump. I've thought about getting into coaching the sport but have never had the time. Good luck to your team, and keep us updated on how the season goes.

Well, there's the "I sort of know this guy, and he's alright" rate, and then there's the "total stranger" rate.
Code got the former.

Great logo! And the website looks excellent.

Techboy, Amy's rates are VERY reasonable. How far does she travel? I do an average of 4 weddings a year and I know finding a good photographer is often difficult for the couple.

Amy ranges pretty far around the D.C. area, and all over Maryland (which I guess is what you're asking about). She's shot in Baltimore, and almost to the Pennsylvania line in Hampton, Maryland (wherever that is).

Oh and Bang, Amy really likes the logo too.

Bang's hat design gets a little front page local sports time...

This year we gave green ones for our gray away uniforms and black ones for home. We added a black jersey with numbers like the university of Hawaii's.... Our player had to sport the black one for the photo shoot.

FYI, he will be a major league player, no question. I'm pretty sure he will be a first round draft pick right out of high school... he's legit.
In our 2 scrimmages, he pitched 2 innings vs. Poquoson HS who is 17th in the nation, no earned runs (1 unearned from a walk and an error) and 5K's, our second scrimmage, 2-2(ground rule double, home run) 2 walks, 2 stolen bases, pitched the last inning, 3K's on 10 pitches.
