So DC doesn't really seem like a soup city

Does anybody know anywhere in the city where I can get some good soup for lunch...

I remember working in nyc last year and eating hale and hearty soups everyonce in a while

they were so good, especially on cold days like this

There are a couple of Chinese restaurants in the area that have pretty good soup. There's a brand new one that opened up recently near the corner of Georgia and University that I tried yesterday. Very good Chicken Corn soup.

Claim Jumper out here has the BEST baked potato soup in the woooooooooooorld. To bad there are no Claim Jumpers in DC ;)

#11 and #12 are both excellent. I think #12 is a little better. This place is very under the radar, but it has been there forever, and has watched the neighborhood change.

Hot spicy lemongrass beef soup. Seriously, it's excellent. And not far at all from Silver Spring.
