Me? I actually feel bad for Dawkins and Westbrook. They've been a pain in the side of the NFCE for years and they've handled themselves well off of the field.
Screw the rest of them.

Westbrook....that's it. But if you asked who I didn't feel bad for? Mcnabb, Bdawk, Desean Jackson, Asante Samuels. Felt so good that they got it right in there face. Everyone of them walks around like there **** don't stink especially mcnabb. Wonder if he's picking up the phone this week.....only this time calling his agent to let him know he doesn't have a job next year.

OF COURSE NOT!
I hope they all enjoy watching the big game from home. They sucked this year, if they had won it all it would have been BS.

Has to be McNabb. This guy has been criticized all his career. From Rush Limbaugh to Philly fans booing him when he was drafted. Seems to me like the Eagles FO haven't really helped him much by getting a good #1 WR. All their WRs are midgets.

I'd say Westbrook, but that's even difficult for me. McNugget is easily the most overrated "elite" QB ever and believes his own hype so much that I could never feel for him.

Because Westy is local I always root for him to do well, except against the Skins.
McNabb a little because he has done so much and given his all with a below average WR corp. I mean the Skins corp this year is better than McNabb has had to work with.

McNabb, Dawkins & Westbrook. Dawkins puts in a lot of time, and his time is almost up, he deserved at least one ring. McNabb is a beast, regardless. Westbrook fits in those same categories.

I feel the worst for guys like Dawk, McNabb, Runyan, but I probably feel worse for the kids like Jackson, Celek, Jordan, and Bradley. These are guys who truely played their hearts out in their first title game and excelled only to have their hearts ripped out by of all things, a screen play.
Add Curtis to the list. He was man enough to accept that he should have caught the ball, even though the rest of the world knew he was interferred with.

I don't know. Have you ever seen these guys talk about the one that got away? Hell, the Niners won a bunch of SBs and they STILL ***** about the 83 NFC title game they lost to the Skins! Now, that doesn't mean you have to feel sorry for them but I don't understand why we're not allowed to feel something for guys just because they make millions of dollars. Sure, that helps cushion any blow but for a lot of these dudes it's going to haunt them forever that they were on really good teams and didn't win a championship.

Feel sorry for a team that backed into the playoffs and got tied by the Bengals. NOPE! They are who we thought they were. The same team that gets to the NFCCG 5 times and it has only equalled into one win. The Bills went to 4 straight AFCCG but won every one of them. They will have a place in history as the biggest bunch of chokers in NFL history. I wouldn't be surprise that Andy Reid and Donovan McNabb were both gone after this.

I have to say Brain Westbrook and Brain Dawkins.
RunClintonRun26
January-19th-2009, 02:17 PM
Why is Brian Dawkins getting so much love on this board? The guy is not only extremely overrated, but also seems to love the camera and attention. Has anyone else noticed that he flexes EVERY time he does anything? Hell, he even tried flexing after he was knocked out by Yoder . . . and big Mike for that matter.
I seriously cannot stand ANYONE on the Eagles . . . And I reserve the most hatred for Dawkins, McNabb, and D. Jackson.
Dawkins for the reasons I listed above. McNabb for his arrogance and undeserved title of an elite QB. And Jackson because he just oozes the same arrogance. It's all over his face. The guy just looks like a coward too.
So to answer the question - ABSOLUTELY NO. Those smug players didn't even deserve to be in the playoffs . . .

More importantly, Dawkins is a cheap shot artist who continually launches head first at players who are down on the ground (or like 1 inch from being 'down') and doesn't get called for it.
And enjoys a rep for being classy. But that's kind of how Rodney Harrison was. "classy" off the field but a real scumbag on it.

Dawkins loves to play to the echo of the whislte, utilize the forearm excessively, lead helmet first on the majority of hits, and hit guys on the ground. We would all love him if he were on our team, but the guy is a punk. I loved watching the cardinals game. He led with his head and hightower or arrington dropped the helmet and slammed dawkins to the turf. Not too mention Dawkins signature frog splash tackle on the sidelines that Fitzgerald just shrugged off. I almost think Dawkins practices making tackles that look like wrestling moves.

McNabb. Most of the Philly fans think that they have it better with their back up. If that is the case, then go ahead and get Kevin Kolb in there and give us McNabb. McNabb gets team to the playoffs. If he had better skill players who knows how well would do?
Besides was it McNabb's fault that Akers missed a makeable FG and missed an extra point? Was it his fault that the defense surrendered 32 points? They can blame McNabb all they want, but they should look at the numbers that tells the story you need. Also the eagles yards per carry was terrible. They don't run the ball well enough to control games and that is putting the undue pressure on McNabb to get game won. Bottom line is that the game was total team loss and not the loss of just one person. It was in no way shape or form a loss like the one that Delhomme did to the Panthers.

Although I can"t see myself feeling sorry for Edwards, I agree he is a great person and a crappy "NFL" coach. I have often said I feel he could be an outstanding college coach and would clean up in recruiting.

You're a cowboy fan, that should answer it.
As to original post, I have a soft spot for players/coaches who have been in the league a long time yet have never won a SB to win one. I was happy for Strahan last year to get it, Elway, Reggie White, Bettis, and I'd also be happy for Wilson of the Cards to get it this year. Obviously I would have loved for Dawkins, WB, DM, Runyan, TraThomas and a few others to have gotten it after all the years they've had in the league.
