If you were, when Tom Brokaw was talking and GWB was leaving in Executive One, did anyone else hear someone in the room with Brokaw say "ATTACK"?

I don't think it should surprise anyone. MSNBC has decided to quit striving for ethical and unbiased news reporting a while ago. I wonder if they honestly think anyone takes them seriously when they put two leftists hacks in Keith Obermann and Rachael Maddow on their inauguration coverage team?
Speaking of Obermann, anyone see his "special comments" segment at the end of his show yesterday? He was talking about how we need to as a country "cleanse ourselves of the sins of our past" and pleading to Obama on TV to charge Bush with war crimes. He was using examples from history as a basis for why Obama should do this (something worse happening if he didn't) and those famous Presidents who decided to do this.
If he is idiotic enough to feel this way, Fine... But at least have enough intelligence to use examples that support your reasoning. Didn't this guy go to Cornell? He tried to use not punishing Germany in WWI has the basis for not doing something and having something worse happen (WWII) and used Lincoln in the arguement for a President who stood for laws and doing the right thing. The problem is these two examples are horrible ones to say the least.
First, I don't know how he came to the conclusion that Germany was responsible for WWI. They were pulled into that War because of an alliance with the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. They were the ones who started WWI, not the Germans. Also, it is known by anyone with a high school level of understanding in world history that the main reason for WWII were the excessive and harsh terms of surrender France demanded for Germany in the Treaty of Versialles.
Second, how can someone use Lincoln as an example for a President supporting the rule of law when he suspended Habeus Corpus, jailing people who did the samething Obermann does (reporters), and intentionally breaking the law by violating the US Constitution with the creation of West Virginia during the Civil War?
What a total dope...:doh::doh::doh:

I did watch MSNBC exclusively (and enjoyed every moment) however I did not hear that. I did hear the crowd begin to sing "Nana NaNa Nana NaNa Hey Hey Hey Good Bye!!" to Bush when his helicopter left DC.
I was singing right along with them in the office.:D

I was at the mall watching it in person. I thought the booing and the na-na-na-na were in bad taste, but I did understand why it was happening. Some of it is just basic frustration.

It's the same crowd that lined the Bush innauguration with tasteless signs etc.

MSNBC has its quirks but FOX is way out of line. Like FOX news is a respected reliable unbiased news source

Remember that you said this when folks start getting frustrated with Obama.

Well I guess it's good that nobody said they hope Obama fails.

I think this is time for a contrarian comment.
During the actual election, I wound up flipping between a number of channels. Now, I don't have cable, so that limited my selection to five. The stations I watched most were PBS and FOX which carried the national FOX broadcast.
On that evening, I thought FOX did really well. They were pretty tone neutral, pretty factual, and it was a clean broadcast. There were a few "hmm?" moments, but by and large I spent much more time on their station than I should have.
Having said that, shame on MSNBC. On the big days, on the historic days, the need is greatest to be professional and get it right. I thought FOX did that on election night even though they were probably hurting. MSNBC dropped the ball (at least in this instance)

I flipped around until I found the best HD Signal. I didn't really listen to what the heads were saying.

I stayed with FOX all the way and appreciated that they were the only ones to cover President Bush's homecoming in Midland. I heard C-Span did the same thing - so make that two who covered the homecoming to Texas.

It's always in bad taste to boo the past president on inauguration day. But with a 22% approval rating, and the country in financial disarray, I understand why they are doing it.

Even though I didn't vote for Obama, I hope he gets treated properly and with respect as well.
