Just saw on ESPN that Saunders is interviewing for Offensive Coordinator with Al Davis. He is looking for a job next year.

He wasn't going to be retained by Spags as the OC, it just doesn't seem to fit his style of coaching or offense.

And Saunders would be insane to take the OC job with the Raiders, as they don't even have a DC or HC yet. Hell, anyone is crazy to work for Al Davis.

The Raiders now thats a franchise in a downward spiral. In a downward spiral? The only thing keeping them from rock bottom is not being the Lions.

At least the Lions have stopped the spiral by axing Millen and hiring a true football coach in Schwartz.

Al Davis just keeps on taking the Raiders deeper and deeper into the void at full speed. Until he dies or is incapacitated, the Raiders as of now will be the worst run and worst performing team in the NFL.

He was almost their HC a few years ago. They were making a huge bid for him, but then he decided to come to DC as an OC.

It's bigger than the NFL, they're one of the worst run teams in ALL of sports

ESPN keeps running (on the bottom line) that Saunders has been the Rams OC for the past 3 seasons. :wtf:

Maybe Al has a better shot at becoming the Head Coach if he takes the job as the OC first, it's not it hasn't happened in DC. We all know that Al davis is the only thing that saves our organization from being to total laughing stock of the league from a management perspective. It used to be Oak, AZ, and DC as the leauge clowns, somehow AZ has risen from that post.

First, it used to be Oak, DETROIT, AZ and DC as the league clowns, as you put it...Now, it's Oak, Detroit and Dallas as league clowns. Snyder and Cerrato have not been labled as "clowns" outside of the disgruntled fan base for several years now.

Second, the only reason AZ is seen as rising above it is because they had a good run in the playoffs. It's not because they suddenly started doing things "right". It's more likely that they were "doing things right" all along, but as usual nobody alive will see those moves as being the right ones until after they've born fruit. It takes some real insight to be able to say "Yeah, they're not really winning right now, but that doesn't mean they're not doing things the right way right now." Unfortunately you won't find too many in the media or among fans who have that type of insight. Of course, having a possible HOF QB find a groove doesn't hurt lol...

Someone needs to wake Al Davis up and tell him the 60's are over and Darryl Lamonica has been retired for over 30 years.

As a Rams fan, I have to say I'm glad about that. That offense was offensive. I notice you guys weren't hurt too bad by his departure either.

Go Rams.

Redskins #2.

Our offense dropped off a helluva lot during the 2nd half of the season, though...

Davis nor any of his cronies have said much about the HC search. Cable probably will be the de-facto candidate for HC because no one else in their right mind would take the job.

I though Saunders had no interest in a HC position? At least that's what I heard when I found out he wasn't in the running for that position with the 'Skins after Gibbs left.
