Never got into Hell's Kitchen. I like Top Chef. All he seems to do is yell and they always are making ****ing risotto. I swear every time I turn on an episode he is scream about someones' risotto.
Going to try and watch this season and see if I can get into it.

Top Chef> Hell's Kitchen.
It seems like the caliber of the chefs on Top Chef are much better than Hell's Kitchen. It's always funny to see Ramsey go off on someone.

Jose Andres is a HUGE a**hole. I used to do this thing where I would volunteer to referee like third and forth grade soccer games. I referred a couple of games that had his daughter in it. This guy gave me constant crap through out the match about how I was making bad calls and no calls, and when I told him to calm down he just freaked out. Keep in mind I was volunteering to do all of this for free, and if I didn't do it then the kids wouldn't have had a ref.

Starts in 15 minutes here. I will agree that Top Chef is the better show, but I love Ramsey. And they do always seem to make risotto and beef wellington.

These customers who come, are they legit? Like whats there story? Are they compensated? Is it a real restaurant?

You probably have to get a ticket by signing up . Most likely it is free once you get a ticket. This is all a guess though.

After browsing the internet the general concensus is that the "customers" are actually paid actors cast to be on the show.

WTF this show is back already? I liked the first four seasons a lot but the show usually doesn't start until spring/summer ish. Wow it must be big time now...either that or FOX is desperate.

Great show. I am always surprised that the restaurants don't clean out their walk in fridges before Ramsey gets there. It's amazing how nasty some of them are.

If you thinkg Hell's Kitchen kicks ass, then you really need to see Kitchen Nightmares. It blows away Hells Kitchen, especially the episoded on BBC.

Oh, the BBC version is awesome, though sometimes he works with restaurants in Scotland, for instance, and I have a hard time understanding that they're saying all the time.
Love Hell's Kitchen though...

the best parts are when Ramsay spits out a person's food right in front of them. :rotflmao:
I've watched every season, and I actually just finished watching season 4 on itunes since I missed all of it last summer. But I wish Ramsay had picked the opposite person in the final two last season. (won't say who just in case there is anyone who might not have seen it and may want to)

love nightmares and hells kitchen. I watched a few episodes of the BBC version. Gordon is nicer, but still swears. He was on Apprentice once...on the phone..he swore alot on that too...not knowing he was on TV.
One of the chefs on this season is from this area. He said it was filmed in the autumn of 07..14 months ago.

That's the reason. The bases of the show is Ramseys rampages, so they get less talented chefs.

Robet won a ferry ride.... a consequence of being overweight. Wjile i think that sucks for him, i wonder as to why it wasn't more professionally thought out by the TV show. Kinda humiliating to go through that on TV.

I'll put the answer in the dark just in case someone stumbles upon it without wanting to know. Always gotta play it safe. Read below. :)
Nobody else left. Robert was the only one. Ramsay's reasoning was that since Andrea had a worse performance than Ben, and that since Andrea was given safety, Ben should get to stay as well. So he gave Ben another chance. Of course, I'm sure if Robert hadn't had to leave, Ben would have been gone.

April-17th-2009, 09:07 AM
I'm not happy about this season, I think they all suck. Paula is by far the best of them, Ben is a tool, Andrea just sucks, and Danny is a hillbilly. Paula and Danny in the finals and Paula wins it. I might have to take a day trip to AC to check it out.

Why did Robert have to leave?
Gracelander
April-17th-2009, 12:37 PM
The final chefs were given a trip to Atlantic City to the Bogata (sp?) and while they were eating with the head chef up there Robert excused himself and left the table, then he is in the hallway with a medical person and says he has chest pains and had to goto the hospital. He came back to hells kitchen to say that they found something to deal with heart disease and the sack around his heart and that he had to drop out.

April-17th-2009, 02:38 PM
he may brag about himself a lot, and claim to be the best, but I think Danny really is the best one. Paula is 2nd to him, IMO. Ben is just ridiculous and full of himself. He talks too much and should have been gone awhile ago. Same with Andrea in that she should have been gone by now. She sucks too and each time it gets worse.
ixcuincle
April-17th-2009, 03:00 PM
Yeah Ben and Andrea suck. Usually Ramsay won't cut two people in one episode, but he had me convinced when he called Andrea up even though she had the immunity.
One of them is likely getting kicked next week. And it's a shame about Robert, he was hilarious. During his flashback they showed the scene where he was too fat to get on the chopper so he had to take a boat and when he arrived his group was heading home lol
royallypwned
April-17th-2009, 03:03 PM
Andrea should be next to go, but Ben should be right after. In fact, I think he should just get rid of both Andrea and Ben at the same time. It's pretty obvious that Danny and Paula are the best two left.

As confident as Danny was (I think it's safe to say his name now lol) from the very start, he sure did back it up the whole time. I seriously loved some of his quotes...
"You either got it or you don't, and I definitely got it."
"I'm a culinary prodigy, man."
There are plenty of people who act like that, and get eliminated early on. He didn't go out early, but Ben was full of himself and I was happy when he was done for. As far as Danny goes, he was the best from day 1 and he certainly deserved it.
As far as the Borgata, I read last night after the finale that he will only start as a Sous Chef at the new restaurant. Training and experience upcoming. Yes, Fox and Hell's Kitchen lie.
