ASSUMING WE DON'T GET THE #1 PICK,
Do you guys think Philly goes for Blatche, the #1 pick, Mike James (expiring), and Etan Thomas (expiring) for Iguodala and Speights?
I think this deal would be a real homerun for us. Yes, we do take on a lot of salary with Iggy, but he is a great fit next to Gil, because he can pass like a PG and is a stud defender. Iggy is similar to Butler in that he is a star who is a good role player. I think Speights would be the real steal of this deal though. Just look at his numbers this year. The guy is a stud. He scores a lot, boards a lot, and blocks shots a lot. I really think this guy is going to be a bigtime player.
I think Philly would go for this deal, because they seem to want to make Thad Young a centerpiece and that guy needs to get his touches. Plus, with these tough economic times, I am sure they would be up for slashing salary and Blatche is a good fit for their team. They could use that 1st round pick on a guy like Thabeet or Hill.
