By all accounts I can find, the murder trial has been postponed until today.

"Although originally scheduled for April 7, 2008, the trial of the men charged with Sean Taylor's murder has been postponed to March 3, 2009"

That's from Wikipedia, but all the other sources I can find say the same. Is there anyone local down in FL with some news on this?

Good point. I was thinking of this earlier, that it was coming up soon. Can't find anything online, except saying that the date is today.

I saw that on wiki a few days ago. So earlier today I was looking at the Miami Herald web site that was doing a good job covering the story but couldn't find anything.
So I'm not sure if thats right.

Taylor Trial Is Postponed


The trial involving the shooting death of Washington Redskins safety Sean Taylor was again postponed yesterday when defense attorneys asked a Miami state court judge for more time to interview witnesses.

Circuit Court Judge Dennis J. Murphy granted the request and put off setting a new trial date until June 9, when he requested reports from the defense on their progress on discovery. Originally scheduled to go to trial last August, the trial date had been reset for March 9.

Eric Rivera Jr., 18; Jason Scott Mitchell, 21; Charles Kendrick Lee Wardlow, 19; and Timmy Lee Brown, 17; face first-degree murder and armed burglary charges in connection with Taylor's death. Taylor died days after Thanksgiving in 2007 after being shot in his Miami home during a botched burglary attempt.

One original defendant, Venjah K. Hunte, 21, pleaded guilty last year and is expected to testify during the trial.
That bolded paragraph doesn't make sense to me.

Look at that paragraph. I think that the last line is supposed to say March 3, and the new date may be June 9.

June 9th they will reconvene and the defense will inform the judge of their progress. It will be then that the judge sets a new date for the trial to begin. Hope that helps.

June ninth is my 25th birthday.
