if we didnt have so many holes I honestly think playing in front of Landry would be the best thing for his career. Say what you want, but in the box, his instincts and power are pretty rare. It makes me laugh how grown men play so much into the "he was a cowboy" thing. However, for his price, we can get similiar production from Horton I believe. So I'm not saying I want him, but some of yall arent even looking at the whole picture.

Well then, "NewCliche," if you're going to throw around bold characterizations about the football knowledge of a poster -- why don't you articulate why you think it's such an absurd idea to want Roy Williams on this team?

For one thing, I haven't mentioned anything about the relative cost the aquisition might incur. If the price is right, it would make great sense to bring on a 28 year old veteran, hard working, player like Roy Williams. Williams has been a durable player, and has produced consistently over his career. Before the 2008 campaign, when he was out most of the season with a broken forearm, he only missed one game in 6 seasons...that's durability for a hard hitting safety. Averaged over 80 tackles a year (70 solo) and over 6 ints over that 6 year period. It's well known that his coverage skills have diminished, which is why he would have to be used correctly in the defensive scheme.

Now, let's hear your spiel, eh?
