What is this, a Miller Lite commerical?? I may be wrong, because I know nothing about Lanier's qualifications, but this doesn't look like a Larry Brown-type hire to me. I'd send my tickets back to Pollin immediately for a refund.

And did anyone else notice that Wes Unseld is running the draft? I've also seen on ESPN Insider that Le Boulez would trade the #10 for a veteran that would help them win now.

Great. How about the #10 for Michael Adams?

I wouldn't be frustrated if I wasn't a true fan. :puke:

C'mon Abe (who i think is a decent person) you know you want to rehire Bob Ferry Sr. and maybe Gene Shue or Kevin Loughery as coach. just do it!!!

Really can't say Lanier is a bad choice, he's never been a GM or President of Operations before. So you can't knock him yet, at least give him a fair shot.

He's a Hall of Fame center, which is nice, but doesn't translate to a Hall of Fame executive. If he's hired, we can at least be glad Abe didn't hire someone who's ALREADY PROVEN they are uncapable of doing the job.
