I say trade down, get an extra pick and pick up Michael Johnson with a lower 20-30 pick. He's a beast and we will dominate with him and Big Al!

I say, trade it to Detroit for their 1st rder and 2nd rder(if it's in the points system) and grab that DE and LB.

Detroit is shopping their #20 overall pick along with their #1 if there are any takers.

I say Bengal (Orakpo) M. Johnson is compared to Peppers only cause of height. About 15 lbs light and wasnt even close to as dominate in college. Also compared to Kearse. Let them produce something before all these comparisons come out  But if we trade down and is available, I could live w/ it. has a high ceiling and DE is a need. Would rather have Oher even though there are ?? w/ him also.

Or, we could draft someone who's actually worth a 1st Round Draft pick. Novel idea, I know.

Orakpo
This is who we should get

March-25th-2009, 06:45 PM
Sorry, Orakpo is just not going to fall.
plus he is injury prone i believe.
i'd like a draft where we trade down a few spots, (like 2 or 3) grab a 3rd or 4th and take andre smith and a DE and OLB or C

I sincerely doubt that if we trade down we'll be able to pick up one of the big 4 tackles. The trade partners we'll likely pair with are far too late to be able to expect to pick up an Andre Smith. Moreover, we may not even be in the position to draft him at #13, let alone later down.
I'd rather draft a legit player at #13 than trade down too far and pick up two, maybe 3 long-term prospective players. Course, if trading down brought us a Clint Stintim + another player, I'd be all for it.

I would take A. Smith first if he was there. But I'm not opposed to taking Johnson. Even at #13.

Do you think that's cute? Because it really isn't. I'm a very religious Catholic that doesn't put up with BS like this concerning the Church. If you're not a Christian, that's your own choice, but don't attack my religion. If you really are 26, you need to grow up and think about what you are posting on a public forum. Have some respect for others.

At first read it was funny (not cute), but yeah insensitive. Not on a religious note for me, but the fact children get molested all the time and not just by Catholic priests is DISTURBING. I have a 4 yr old and if ANYONE touched my child in that manner, please forgive me Lord cause I would KILL that SOB. I wonder why we just here of Catholics doing this? I never here/read of other men of the cloth from different religions get caught. HUH.

Not that I really wish to derail the thread any further, but it is a strange quirk about the media doing the reporting. Pfft, journalists aren't the most enlightened of people in the first place and often have less than honest motives...
