3 minute video on experts talking about the Skins and who they may draft. Pretty interesting, they address some good points and make a case for us taking A.Smith.

I will be so happy if we got Aaron Maybin man is going to be at Stud at pass rushing

4th ranked defenses don't need a pass rush. I guarantee it. 79% of Extremeskins approve of this viewpoint :silly:
Building a defense from the secondary in is the right way. Look at us. :silly:

It says we have defensive needs at safety.
I was not aware of that.

I think ROT is our biggest need. I'd be OK with Andre Smith. I like the fact that he looks up to Samuels. That could be a sort of insurance policy that the guy doesn't get all lazy in the NFL. Man boobs aside, I think he's got a lot of potential and would probably look leagues better than Jansen and Heyer from opening day.

More of a confirming analysis than anything new but guess I need to take a closer look at the Maybin kid. Thought he was more of a situational pass rusher than an every down player. Also would take Maualuga over Cushing even though Cushing is technically a better fit as a SLB.

We need help at safety? What in the world was that guy Brian Webber talking about?

I just wish they'd think long term with this pick. Smith, Oher and Maybin would all be good picks though. Whoever has the best long term potential is who they should get...not who helps them the most this year necessarily.

If Andre Smith is there, we are going to take him. Vinny practically said so in his interview with Doc Walker. Said similar thing with Orakpo, too.

I think Andre Smith will come in with a chip on his shoulder to prove that he's not the bust everyone is saying he may be. With that in mind, I'd definitely go with Smith with our #13 pick. That would provide an immediate upgrade of our offensive line on the right side and would help keep Campbell upright more frequently.

I like Brain Orakpo and keeping my fingers crossed that he falls. Via Mayock's mock draft. Eventhough we have a more pressing need at RT. If not Andre Smith if he falls would be a good choice.

I'm hoping we can get some Olinemen. The position seems like one that is among the easiest to make an immediate impact, and we need to get younger there.

it would suck if the Big 4 tackles & Orakpo were gone before we pick

If we take Smith or Oher, will doubtless of traded UP in the draft, as the common consensus is they'll be LONG gone by 13.

I live in sec country so I have watched andre smith dominate some of the best d lineman in the confrence since day 1 when he was a freshman he is the best tackle I've seen at the college level in a long time and he will turn out to be the best in this class I pray that the first 12 teams are dumb enough to pass on him

Bring in Oher or Smith. An Elite RT sent off that Carolina running game last year when they drafted Otah. We can do the same thing this year.

Smith and Orakpo will long be gone ... Oher has baggage because of his learning challenge. Skins should take a "clean" player at 13 or trade down and pick-up a bunch of projects. The Draft is way over-hyped and nothing the Skins do will turn Campbell into Cutler. But they can help him ... draft Moreno or Mongo-looa at 13... the hype and media focus on these "stars" will take alot of pressure off Jason.
we pick at 13. there's enough potential top ten people that it's unlikely both would be long gone.

That's doing it the BPA way, which is how Cerrato prefers. He takes the best player still available.

Here's the problem with that...the video actually addresses the fact that the Skins have Landry and Horton and they don't need a safety.

Hail.
All the consensus so far say that Smith WILL be there. He simply had too much baggage........around his waist.
I do not see anybody inside the top 10 reaching for Smith considering his pass blocking skills are a work in progress. Good sometimes, sometimes not.
But his run blocking ability is devastating. I hope he falls to us and he should. Teams will forgive a little marijauna or a driving accident, but they don't forgive NOT WORKING OUT or laziness.

We need a mean first round draft pick to take that RT spot.

i only want maybin if he is going to play slb for us. the more and more i read about andre smith falling the more i think that we should take a chance on him. i think that we have the guys here to keep his head on straight, especially samuels. i could see him taking smith under his wing.

I would love either guy.
A. Smith would make our line solid.
I also love Maybin "IF" they use him at SAM. The guy has speed, power and is very agile. He could stuff the run and stand up in coverage. He would add that pass rush off the OLB spot that would draw attention.
