Eminem dresses up as Tony Romo in video for 'We Made You'

By Chris Chase

It's a good thing Tony Romo is no longer Terrell Owens' teammate or quarterback. Because if T.O. teared up when the media gave Romo a hard time, how would he react when one of the best-selling rappers of all-time takes shots at the Cowboys signal caller?

In the video for Eminem's new single "We Made You", which debuted on MTV today, the Detroit rapper dresses up as Tony Romo and mocks his relationship with Jessica Simpson in various childish ways. (Apparently the two are still dating. I had no idea either.)

The song is a typical first single for Eminem. It includes a catchy hook, semi-topical mocking of ripe pop-culture targets that don't seem worthy of such derision (Bret Michaels?), a shout-out to Dr. Dre and nary a mention of the Lions. What, Slim Shady couldn't think of a rhyme for Orlovsky?

If Eminem truly wants to channel Tony Romo, he should win a Grammy and then fumble the award when the presenter hands it to him.

It's an awful video, but I laughed at the Romo part.

And its an awful song, too.

I'm not a fan of rap, certainly not a fan of Eminem, yet strangely I'm a fan of an Eminem rap song making fun of Tony Romo. I've never heard it and I'm never going to hear it but it makes me happy to know that it exists.

^^ no he won't, while the video is something to be desired, the song is mediocre for him. But it was pretty funny.

The video is average, but the song is atrocious.

Only if it's a K-Grammy.

Actually, it would be more appropriate if he were a presenter and fumbled the award trying to give it to the winner. Winning trophies and hardware isn't exactly Romo's style.

I suppose I'm in the minority when I say I like it. Haha.

I like it. Not his best stuff. But this is vintage Em. 1st main single is funny and goofy and taking shots at celebs. The album drops and the rest of it is serious.

Exactly what I'd expect from Slim Stupid.

That was terrible. I know it was 4am when you made the post, but that's the best you could come up with?

Anyway, I haven't watched the video, or listened to the song yet, but Eminem's seriously slipped off after his first to albums (to me anyway). The dude is one of the best lyricists in hip-hop when he wants to be, but he's gotten lazy and all his songs and albums have the same pattern now.

Eminem is one of the best frestylers of all time. He can't be touched in raw lyricism.

That said, his songs and message are tired. I'd never spend my money on his music.

I finally checked it out, the song sucks. That said, Eminem has released joke songs as his first single for all of his albums, "My Name Is," "Real Slim Shady," "Lose It," so I expect better from the album. Still, his lyrics can be killer when he wants them to be, but it seems like he doesn't try anymore.

I watched the video. It is more a jab at public tabloid figures in general, and I don't think he is messing with Romo as much as he's goofing on Jessica and how fat she got.

Maybe thats why Shady didn't care about getting Romo's jersey # wrong
