I dont hate Kansas but i dont like those two players. Not that they are bad people or anything i just dont like to watch them. Also i really am not impressed with either of them. First off what can Hinrich do that Lue cant, i dont think anything Lue can pass, dribble, and shoot the 3's just as well as Hinrich i believe. Or the same thing with Juan Dixon! Hinrich shows me no top 10 talent he just shows me a safe pick that wont be able to play right away. With Collison i just see a younger version of Laetner that cant shoot as well. And I like Laetner so lets just stick with him. I want something we dont have, like a PG that can change a game by getting to the line, making great passes, and the occasion steal. I think they have that this year in TJ Ford. We should try and trade up a little bit for him, maybe he will fall due to lack of perimeter game. We dont need another shooter we need a passer.
I also wouldnt mind Dwayne Wade or Mikael Pietrus, from what i here Pietrus is a really exciting player, and plays good defense. Reese Gaines is alright too or Jarvis Hayes. Sweentney is good but that wont happen cause his agents are the same as Jordans and they hate us and we would never get a deal done. Thats what David Aldrige said at least.

funny enough, tj ford has become the number two PG on a lot of teams draft boards... he might be able to steal and pass (no better than Hinrich), but the brother can't shoot! don't you want him to score too? it would be nice if he could get close to 6' also...
i am very pro-Hinrich, he has all the tools to be an outstanding basketball player for a lot of seasons...
i am pretty torn on Collison... don't think he should be picked before #20, but they are talking about him being a possible lottery pick!! i just don't see his game translating as well to the NBA....

I don't want Hinrich, Collison or Ridenour. None of them will excell in the NBA.
Call me a racist, but I see them as yet more slow, soft white guys who are being elevated above their value in the draft. Collison is just Raef Lafrentz Lite. Every year folks get excited over a Dan Dickau or a Bryce Drew but they just don't have NBA games.
I'd much rather bring in some foreign guys than waste picks on any of the above. Or at least wait until the second round so we don't waste guaranteed money.
And just to be on record, I think T.J. Ford is a waste as well. If we take either Hinrich or Ford simply because we 'gotta have' a point guard, we'll be wasting a pick.

I want Jarvis Hayes......we shouldn't resign Stackhouse because he isn't a clutch player, we should try and get Andre Miller and I hope we get a 7 footer in the second round like Chris Marcus or someone like that, take a chance on the guy I think

EJ has gone on the record as saying that he is in favor of the best player available strategy. I personally like that strategy, especially in basketball where one playmaker can turn a team around. The problem is, I'm not sure that it will be clear cut who the "best player available" is come the #10 spot.

TNCarl, Hinrich a slow, soft white boy? You haven't seen him play much have you? That kid is a gamer and has some explosion to his game... he will be a solid pro... that is why he went ahead of Ford and higher than many expected. Now I actually have a reason to cheer for the Bulls.
