June-4th-2009, 05:44 PM
You've been edited in.
June-5th-2009, 06:24 AM
entertaining offers...... :D
June-5th-2009, 06:29 AM
I now own both of TDR's second round picks.
June-9th-2009, 10:53 AM
might as well get this on the road.
with the 1st pick in the 2009 rookie draft, the r2 trickstas select...
knowshon moreno, rb, denver
edit: whoops, can i have that pick back?? i forgot i was supposed to be taking a kicker with the pick...
June-9th-2009, 11:46 AM
Without further adieu....
With the 2nd overall pick, in the 2009 Rookie Draft, Beatdown Inc selects....
Matthew Stafford, QB, Detroit Lions
June-9th-2009, 12:14 PM
And with the 3rd overall pick in the 2009 Rookie Draft, Beatdown Inc selects.........
LeSean McCoy, RB, Philadelphia Eagles
(the perfect compliment to, and next incarnation of, Brian Westbrook)
Stosh, looks like you're up.
June-9th-2009, 08:47 PM
ok, enough bs trade talks. here's the pick:
of the consensus top 3 picks, this is the only one in which I'm in agreement and damned if Drop wasn't kind enough to let him fall right to me. He's suppossed to be the next "can't miss" and although I'm loathe to draft any "can't miss" players, I absolutely have to take him here on value alone. While I may not value him as high as most, boys and girls, I do know value.
June-9th-2009, 09:22 PM
Since I'm doing this via phone, I wont have a picture. I really wanted Crabtree, but it would have been a miracle if he fell to me. I'm going against my better judgment (which is usually wrong) on this one and taking a minor risk. With that said, my pick is Donald Brown, RB of Colts.
June-10th-2009, 01:28 PM
Noticed you guys got started...first post updated.
June-10th-2009, 05:03 PM
Chris "Beanie" Wells---- Arizona Cardinals
hopefully he can stay healthy and win the starting job this year or in the future.... should be a nice compliment for Forte and Williams
June-10th-2009, 09:35 PM
With the 7th overall pick of the 2009 Rookie Draft, Adrenaline selects...
Shonn Greene, RB New York Jets
Yeah, probably a bit of a reach but seemed to be the best pick for my team. Who knows what happens with Thomas Jones after this season (or maybe even during). And Leon Washington will never be their full time back.
June-12th-2009, 11:09 AM
And with the 8th pick overall pick, I select my best WR in the draft and my #3 player overall in the draft,,,
WR Percy Harvin.
June-12th-2009, 11:14 AM
Trade processed and pick updated. Kuraitengai STILL on the clock.
June-12th-2009, 11:19 AM
with the 9th pick in the 1st round, the r2 trickstas select...
mark sanchez, qb, jets
June-12th-2009, 11:34 AM
I have a trade in the works with The B&G, pending a player he wants being available right now. Once I hear from him, we'll pull the trigger and he'll pick.
June-14th-2009, 01:14 PM
Alright, the trade fell through, so I'm going to go ahead and pick Glen Coffee, RB out of Alabama, now with the 49ers. Welcome to the Plow Hards, Mr. Coffee.
June-14th-2009, 05:25 PM
ok, going to go ahead and make this pick but I'm still actively seeking a 2nd for my super-sleeper (TDR, shut yo mouth) before this guy
bit of a reach here for what I consider to be serious home run or total bust potential. Funk called the Oakland offense a "power offense" (lmao) but I'm going to call it more of a "I'm tired of getting my ass kicked" offense, as in the best play in Oakland's playbook for the near future will be *Darrius, run that way real fast and I'm going to throw it a long way but make it quick b/c I'm tired of getting my ass kicked"
and as a multi-generation Turtle, gotta go w/DHB.......
June-15th-2009, 06:18 AM
With the 12th, and final selection in the 1st Round, Beatdown Inc selects..........
Jeremy Maclin, WR, Philadelphia Eagles
Yup stoshy, another Philadelphia Eagle. He's got to be about as well rounded a player as there is left on the board. Maybe he and Jackson can find some sort of speedy deep threat tandem to scare opponents in Philly. Might be a bit of a reach, but if i hadn't gone with him, it would have been another division foe's draftee that i would have grabbed. He was a RB however, and with youngans like Rice and McCoy, i think i have a good young foundation. So i went with the fact that I'm in need of a young, multi-dimensional receiver, and that i traded one away to grab this pick.
Makes sense to me...but then again so did drafting Stafford, and everyone's calling me the boob of the millenium for that. lol, suck it nancies. But go ahead stosh, flame me. As if drafting another Eagle wasn't enough ammo for you, i even TRADED AWAY a Redskin to grab this one. LOL
That being said, i doubt we'll whiz through the 2nd round with any type of swiftness, so i'm probably done until i get back from vacation (i'll be back the 28th for all intents and purposes). Stosh has my number if my pick(s) comes up and you guys have noticed i haven't been around.
Just so there's no confusion....... :eaglesuck
June-15th-2009, 06:48 AM
Saleem has asked me to make this pick for him as he is out of town and apparently, back in time w/ no internet. Begrudgingly, I will...
With the 13th overall pick in the 2009 rookie draft, the one eyed wonder weasels and their two balls selects...
Andre Brown, RB, New York Giants
June-15th-2009, 05:06 PM
I really should pay more attention to college football...maybe this will be the year??? I know nothing about the guys who are left, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night...and Saggy Balls will select our first ever rookie pick (we traded 'em all away last year). The name I pulled out of the hat is NY Giants WR Hakeem Nicks
June-16th-2009, 09:06 AM
ok, wasnt who i wanted to make this early, but all the 'experts' had him and andre brown a super sleepers and davis the 6th ranked rookie RB. and not sure he would still be here in 5 picks. so gotta take him now.
so, the r2 trickstas select, my boy, james davis, clemson/cleveland...
now i just need to send him an email and tell him to 'nancy kerrigan' jamal lewis in the knee or something around preseason. especially since i dont like lewis since he beat out my other boy for the gig at UT, so he had to go to 'the other' USC and i therefore had to hate him for two years.
June-16th-2009, 10:28 AM
With the 16th pick in the 2009 rookie draft, ChrisCooleyFunkFactory's Puny Playbook selects...
Brian Robiskie, WR, Cleveland Browns
I was thinking about trading down, but I believe he has first round talent. Can't pass up a sure thing in this shallow draft.
June-16th-2009, 05:57 PM
With the 17th pick in the rookie draft Reality Check selects.......................
Kenny Britt WR Titans
I like this kid a lot 6'3" 218 4.48 speed he has the potential to be a #1 WR... just might take a while but I like his situation on a WR thin team I think he is close to a sure bet to see playing time this year......
also a nice compliment to Wayne, Holmes, and (comeback player of the 2009-2010 season) Ochocinco.......
June-16th-2009, 07:21 PM
With the 18th pick in the 2009 Rookie Draft, Adrenaline selects:
Brandon Pettigrew, TE Detroit Lions
June-16th-2009, 08:53 PM
With the 19th pick in the 2009 Rookie Draft, Adrenaline selects:
Ramses Barden, WR New York Giants
...only because he's tall.
June-16th-2009, 11:28 PM
without further adieu...
the r2 trickstas select...
Juaquin Iglesias, WR, Chicago
yeah...apparently he likes making over the shoulder sideline grabs with the DB hanging all over him...
June-17th-2009, 02:52 AM
With the 21st pick in the 2009 rookie draft, ChrisCooleyFunkFactory's Puny Playbook, after much deliberation, and possibly, too much haste as I am not waiting for my trade offers to come back, and after being up too late, selects...
The best receiving TE prospect in the draft, and has been compared to Calvin Johnson by the 'ol ball coach at SC. Sorry, Kur...
Jared Cook, TE, Tennessee Titans
My last pick of the draft and I couldnt be anymore pleased.
June-17th-2009, 07:22 AM
Well, after looking at my (admittedly near-flawless) squad, I realize I may have a hole at backup QB. Manning is of course incredible, but Brady Quinn may never be the man in Cleveland, and Tarvaris Jackson is an enigma.
With that in mind, I'm going to draft the last "skill position" player that went in round 1 of this past draft. The Plow Hards selects Josh Freeman, QB out of K-State, and now with the Buccaneers. Hopefully, over the next few years, the Bucs decide they want to have an actual passing attack.
the burgundy and gold
June-17th-2009, 11:59 AM
with our only selection of the draft, With a Dudes Balls selects:
Pat White QB/RB/WR/ Wildcat person, Miami Dolphins
June-17th-2009, 12:36 PM
ok boys and girls, you're going to hear his name here first. Started over some clown named McCoy in his Freshman year at Pitt. Transferred to Liberty to be closer to his Dad who was suffering from complications due to diabetes. Porn-stash Wannstedt told him his draft status would suffer. He told Stash to stick it. That's the kind of character we look for in players here at Stosh Inc. He may have fallen a bit in the NFL draft but he'll not fall here.
Rashad Jennings, RB - Jacksonville
June-18th-2009, 06:27 AM
With the 25th overall pick in the 2009 Draft, Beatdown Inc selects........
Mohammed Massaquoi, WR, Cleveland Browns
Like Stosh said, it's a toss up now, and has been for a while. Everything out of Brown's camp is saying Massaquoi is looking pretty impressive alongside Robiskie. Good size, plays fast, somewhat questionable hands at times...so who knows, if the guy gets the WR3 in Cleveland, an injury could put him in the starting lineup at some point.
June-18th-2009, 06:35 AM
and with the 26th overall pick in the 2009 Draft, Beatdown Inc selects......
Brian Orakpo, DE, Washington Redskins
:helmet: :logo: :point2sky :point2sky :logo: :helmet:
Eagles fan my ass. Suck it bitches. Kind of a homer pick, but should be a solid bye week filler for Mario Williams.
Now please, somebody trade me your 3rd rounder next year for my 3.11 this year so that i don't have to deal with it while i'm on vacation.
June-18th-2009, 08:25 AM
With the 27th overall pick in the 2009 rookie draft, the one eyed wonder weasels selects...
Bernard Scott, RB for the Cinninatti Bengals (and soon to be cell mate w/ pacman jones).
June-18th-2009, 09:21 AM
hadnt planned to go this direction, but here i am...
the r2 trickstas select... james laurinaitis, MLB, st. louis rams
MLBs get pretty good stats in spags defense. pierce racked up 97 last season. and the rams arent exactly great, so teams should run a good bit on them.
and how can you go wrong with the baby animal?
June-18th-2009, 09:42 AM
With the 29th overall pick in the 2009 rookie draft, CCFF's Puny Playbook selects...
His hands are so good they might switch him to WR...
Mike Goodson, RB, Carolina Panthers. Sleeper mode! I was bummed when my trade with Nut didnt go through and I missed out on andre brown. Guess I'll have to settle for my super sleeper who was drafted just before AB. Might have to give him a year or two, but early reports are that he is a beast. Extremely athletic and dynamic, they will get him the ball anyway they can.
June-18th-2009, 10:10 AM
With the 30th pick of the 2009 Rookie Draft, Adrenaline selects:
Tom Brandstater, QB Denver
Seems like as good a time as any to take a developmental QB in a decent situation. He is behind Kyle Orton and Chris Simms who are not long term solutions at the QB position for the Broncos. He is also in a system that caters to the QB. I mean look at what McDaniels did with Matt Cassel.
I'm not trying to make any crazy predictions or anything but lets not forget about another project QB that was taken a few years back in the sixth round. Brandstater...drop the "n" and "stater" and tack on a "y". Coincidence? I dunno you tell me.
June-18th-2009, 11:02 AM
With the 31st pick in the 2009 ES Rookie draft, CCFF's Puny Playbook selects,
Brandon Tate, WR, New England Patriots
Sleeper mode! The guy fell to the third round cause he got injured his senior season and tested positive for pot at the combine. He is extremely athletic, and dynamic as when he comes off the PUP list he will be a return man first, and eventually (I'm hoping) replace/start next to Wes Welker.
Kinda sounds like Percy Harvin, who's kinda good too.
June-18th-2009, 11:25 AM
With the 32nd pick in the 2009 ES rookie draft, the one eyed wonder weasels select,
Deon Butler, WR, Seattle Seahawks.
June-18th-2009, 06:58 PM
With the 33rd pick in the rookie draft... Realty Check selects....
Patrick Turner of the Miami Dolphins.....
Might be a stretch here maybe I could have gotten him in FA... but I think he has a shot of making it in Miami.... big strong guy.... hopefully will become a red zone target in Miami.... also doesnt have much competition in front of him to get on the field as the 3rd WR or maybe better....
or maybe another USC bust.....
June-18th-2009, 08:15 PM
Alright, shoring up my backup tight end spot, the Plow Hards have selected Chase Coffman, formerly of Missouri, now with the Cincinnati Bengals. A quick check of their roster shows nothing that should keep him from being the starter by 2010.
June-18th-2009, 09:48 PM
With the 35th overall pick in the 2009 Draft, Beatdown Inc selects....
Gartrell Johnson, RB, San Diego Chargers
Steal of the draft right here folks. Gartrell Johnson has all the right attributes to be the heir to LT's throne. He looks a lot like LT in stature, minus the dreds, lol. Yeah he's gonna start the year behind Sproles but it's only a matter of time. It might not be this year or next year, but i REALLY like this guys chances of being San Diego's next workhorse.
And on that note, i'm done. Guys, you're awesome for getting this thing wrapped up before i roll out on Saturday.
June-18th-2009, 10:06 PM
Gartrell Johnson has all the right attributes to be the heir to LT's thrown.
To his throne, even.;) Kur to finish it out.
June-18th-2009, 10:07 PM
lol, right you are sir.
June-19th-2009, 11:42 AM
with the final pick in the 2009 rookie draft... the r2 trickstas select...
sammie stroughter, WR, Tampa Bay
should already have at least the #3 spot locked up. in addition to handling the return duties.
