Does Sidney Ponson deserve to be an all-star?

Well, what do you think? Does Sidney Ponson deserve to be an all-star?

I have to think about that a bit... Several things come to mind, first, where does he stack up with the top 10 pitchers in the league and second, do the O's have another All Star worthy player... if there are no others, then he very well could be the O's lone rep.

Melvin Mora will be the O's rep, no question. Sidney is having a great year, especially by his standards, but he's not quite there yet.

Sir Sid would be an all-star along w/ Melvin Mora if he was on a better team, but I guess we'll have to settle for Mel being the O's sole rep.:gus:

He's 18th i believe in the AL with ERA. With pitchers all i look at is ERA becuase i dont think the W/L record matters. You could give up 10 runs a game and still win cause your team is that good. But a guy like Maroth i believe for Detriot could set a record in losses and he's a very good pitcher. I believe his ERA is pretty darn low. Ponson is having a good year but i dont think he's quite there yet. But thats nothing to be ashamed of with some great starters in the AL.
