Sounds like we would have given up Kwame for the number 5.
What a dumb*****.
Thank goodness Eddie Jordan overruled it.

That would have been dumb. You don't draft a guy out of high school and then give up on him that quickly.
Jarvis Hayes in an excellent player though.

OK, but where will he play? I think Hayes is a little one-dimensional for the NBA.
Stackhouse is as good as gone.
Juan Dixon and Larry Hughes are under contract at the two.
Jared Jeffries should have the minutes at the three.
Kwame should have the minutes at the four.
We still have no PG. That better be addressed in a Stackhouse trade or FA.

Hopefully Hayes will be another Glenn Rice. He would have been picked higher if he played in the tourny

Just out of curiosity, I'd like to know that Grunfeld made that decision.
If Wes and Abe and La Suz made that decision, I'm going to blow my freaking stack. :cuss: :box:
That creates yet another log jam. There's not one true PG among Dixon, Hughes, Hayes, Stackhouse. Jeffries will be our best player next year and take most of the minutes at the 3.
I'm still furious that Wes tried to trade Kwame. Wes, take your leave of absense IMMEDIATELY.

Hayes has a Genn Rice/Allen Houston vibe going on. I think he could really help the team out. What they really need to do is find a PG in free agency. Somebody good like Andre Miller even though I think he'll go to Utah.

Thank the lord Unseld is leaving this year. If only we could jettison La Sooz as well.

Yeah! Wes is gone! One down, two to go (Abe and Sooz)

from what I read...it was the other way around. People called to get Kwame and while Wes would pause to think about it. Eddie just said no.
Don't blame Wes for things that never went down....just the dumb stuff he's done before.

not the smartest attmpt by Wes. He needs to find some patience, most high school players who have entered the NBA dont blossom until at LEAST their third season. EX: Kobe Bryant
Give Brown at least one more seaon, for gods sake he just turned 21
