Quick question... I've always gotten my tickets third hand (grandfather is the account holder, dad gets them, sells them individually to me)

Now I'm getting the directly (straight from my grandfather). Both my father and grandfather have gotten older, and there seems to be a bit of confusions.

We're in section 416, row 17. The price per ticket is 44$. We have 3 tickets.

44 * 3 = 132 / game. 10 games (2 preseason) in a season = 1320/season.

Now I'm aware there are some fees and taxes... but my father seems to think I owe 1600 for the season tickets, and I just can't come up with how he arrives at 280$ in fees.

What are the taxes, and what are the extra fees associated with the season tickets? I'm trying to find it on the skins site, and through google, with no luck.

10 percent per seat prince george's county amusement tax so in your case 4.40 a tix per game.

25 bucks shipping and handling fee. 35 bucks a game for parking if you have passes.

You can call the ticket office tomorrow and ask them for an invoice. $280 sounds a bit high. My tix are 1980 (99 * 10 *2) but my invoice was around $2203. So I paid $223. in extra fees.

Hope that helps.

yeah thats all i've found.

25$ shipping and handling, and 10% pg county tax. is there anything possibly i'm missing here?

sounds like i should pay 1477, or 1500 for the sake of rounding.

nope, you're math adds up perfectly tot he poster above you

99 * 10 * 2 * 1.10 + 25 = 2203.

Thanks guys. You'd think getting an invoice from them would be easy... but they are having problems with alzheimers (spelling?). I'm suprised i got the tickets.

Well is your father asking for $1600 or is guessing it's around $1600. There is a difference.

I asked my father what he paid, because its impossible to get an answer from my grandfather (says he'll go find the invoices, or credit card charge, but never does. I can't even get him to give me the invoice so I can do the online account management.....), and he said he was 15 and some change so he rounds it up to 16.

I just couldn't get the math to work... I think he was confused and meant 14 and some change, so he rounds it to 1500.

Which makes much more sense.

It was just some confusion, and honestly i got an answer in 5 minutes asking here and I've been trying to get the price since they billed him back in feb/march/april whenever it is.

edit: oh, i think i misunderstood your question. they charge me face value. its not to make money :) just tickets that have been in the family since the 50's, and we're passing them down the line to me :) Transfering them is going to be a pain in the ass. Ihave to get him to get a copy of his marriage license.... thats going to take 5 years....

Seems this is the place to ask this question.. So is the 10% PG amusement tax on top of normal sales tax? Or is that both wrapped up into one?

There is one other fee that I didn't understand when I got my season tickets. There was a $200 "seat activation fee" ($100 per seat). I am assuming that this is because I am a new Season Ticket Holder. Will I pay this fee every year?!?
If you do, then you may want to check with your dad and grandfather for that fee.

No - that is a one time fee for your account. Once it's paid you do not have to pay it again.

Thanks for the info. I hoped that was the case. That will make renewing them easier.
