View Full Version : Red Parking Pass vs Grey?

So last week I called to get some parking passes, they said they only had Grey left, so I ordered them. Today my passes came and they sent me red ones saying they were out of grey, but they tossed in 2 green passes for the preseason games (joy). Based off the map its hard to tell if red is further out then grey. Anyone have any experience with it before I call and complain?

Thanks, how long is the walk? Is that lot just off the beltway?

Thanks, but I got a map, obviously looking at a map is helpful, but its not possible to gauge distance especially for someone like me who has never parked there before.

Cool, I linked the map more to answer the realtion to the beltway part of your post and not the walking part. I have never walked from the red lot so I didnt comment on that part.

Crazy glad ive had green and not red all this time

But about distances, the red lot is about a mile from the stadium (roughly) the new grey lot is another half a mile farther looks like

 I'm interested to see what people say about this lot after the game.. Starting to wish I'd just paid over face and purchased green. That's a HIKE!

The gray lot does look like a serious hike.

Is the gray lot not the old tailgate and walk lot?

Was told by the TO that the gray lots were the same walking distance as the red lots....Looks to be alittle futher but they claim its just looks like that but its really not...Guess I'll find out on the 20th...red is a 3 beer walk for me so I might bring 4 just to be safe...:eaglesuck

The farthest space in the Red lots MIGHT be as far away as the closest spot in gray, but I doubt it. Gray is a hike.

If you think about it Spyder, post back and let me know how the ends up being.. I'm curious whether there's another way to get to the field other than what it looks like. Hopefuly you can get onto Brightseat by walking out the bottom of Gray somehow, and not having to walk out onto Sheriff and turn into Brightseat. That'll be a nice hike if that's the case.

Unless they did some serious work there is a ravine if you were to try to go through the woods stragiht to the green lots. Which makes you go the long way around. If you could go straight it wouldn't be so bad.

Think I read on here by MTH that there is no way to the stadium yet except to go out to the road...something about a creek or marsh land...Im not sure but I dont think there is a short cut but I'll repost if it changes:eaglesuck

Yea, that's what I'm thinking. It would pretty well congest that area of green with people walking through.. so I'm betting we're taking the long way.

Oh this SUCKS. Price of parking for "Tailgate field" just went up and I have not seen a mention of cash parking per game for this. Looks like you have to buy season parking pass now? http://wjfk.mediawebconnect.com/18169

It's a small detour. As you walk down Redskins Road make the first left into the green lot on the left and go to E43. In terms of stadium distances it's real close you walk right by the lot, just have to walk down till you see the marker or flags. Stop bye!

Thanks HOF44, last year it was $25 per game. Soon as you throw in sponsorship price goes up.

I bet there will all kinds of surprises on Saturday. Arrows pointing in all sorts of directions. They better send their parking lot attendants to training. Those poor Steelers fans don't know what they are getting into or won't know the difference.

I actually drove through there on Sunday. All the overhead traffic lane color signs from last year were down, no new ones were up yet. All the lamp post signs had been changed to the new colors, but the entrance signs to the various lots were still the old incorrect colors from last year.

I did see the red lot sign, but figured it was just left over from last year.

The worst part is getting out of there after the game. I recommend staying after a late game though.
