Anyone thinking about switching to the new Kazaa lite and unistalling their old kazaa STOP!!!!!!

I installed the new Lite and made sure that my files from the old kazaa "transferred" over tothe new and then deleted my old kazaa. Guess what happened?

I LOST IT ALL!!!!!
800 music files and the complete Family Guy collection.

Anyone know how I can get it back?

OUCH!

Did you examine your old Kazaa folder carefully? It should not have deleted any user-modified files. Double check to make sure the files aren't still in there.

You should also simply scan your hard drive for .mp3 files and see if they have been moved to a temp file or root directory for some reason.

Tried it. It's all gone.

My question is, you see on TV the police (Law and Order) always seem to able to find erased files on the computers. Is this fantasy? Or is it possible?

Have you ever backed up your computer? If so you might have some on that file.

Nope. no need for it. All of my business is done on VPNs so my own computer is just an outlet.

Might start in the future though.
