I keep hearing about how Fitzgerald should be the first WR drafted...even ESPN.com has a poll assuming he's the first WR off the board. Personally, I think Andre Johnson needs to be the #1 WR picked in this years FF drafts for two main reasons:
1. Andre Johnson doesn't have nearly the cast around him to take away touches. While Fitz has Boldin and Breaston getting a ton of looks, Johnson doesn't have much competition except for their TE, Daniels.
2. Johnson has put up numbers no matter the QB. If Warner goes down at any point in the season (and he has a history of doing it), who is to say Fitzgerald will continue to put up big numbers should Leinart come in to start?
Now, do I think Fitz is the better receiver? Certainly. I just think as far as fantasy value, Johnson is the better option.
