This was for my brothers team. A nice little warmup for the domination that I'm going to lay down next week in the 1st Annual Who Del Pro-Am Inventational (spots still open btw. $20 buy in.) Let me know what you think.
QB - Carson Palmer, Kyle Orton
RB - Adrian Peterson, Steve Slaton, Marshawn "Beast Mode" Lynch, Rashard Mendenhall, Chester Taylor
WR - Reggie Wayne, TJ Houshmandzadah, Santonio Holmes, Devin Hester, Hakeem Nicks
TE - Tony Gonzalez, Heath Miller
D/ST - Giants
K - Rob Bironas
The only thing I feel iffy about is the QB spot. But people were going QB way early so that's just how it fell.

I'd trade Palmer + 2nd reciever/running back for Phillip Rivers or Aaron Rodgers

I'm not sold on Rodgers this year and I'm not going to trade my 2nd round pick plus my QB for Rivers. Not now anyway.

Also would like to get an opinion on something. I wanted to go WR in the 2nd round but Fitz, Moss, Johnson, Smith and Calvin Johnson (1 pick before me) were all gone. I had the #1 pick so after Peterson I had 18 picks to wait. I decided to go RB instead and the top two left on my board were Slaton and Westbrook. I took Slaton. I know Slaton came out of no where and is slight of frame but Westbrook is already hurt.
Bad move or good move?

I think it was a good move for the exact reason you mentioned. Also your 2 main receivers are the same I have.
Nice team. Hope Palmer stays healthy for you...that seems to be the only "possible" weak spot imo. 9 out of 10

Not bad...obvious #1 pick with Peterson, I can't believe Slaton made it all the way back to you. You should be able to win a lot of games with that squad, especially is Palmer is even close to what he was 2-3 years ago.

If your asking good move Slaton over Westbrook, yes Westbrook is only good for 13 games a year, turning 30, hurt already, and has Shady McCoy looking great so far and looking to take reps away from Westbrook. Is Westbrook top teir still, I think so but I give the nod to Slaton.
If your asking about taking RB over WR in the late 2nd RD, I say no. This is just my opinion, but if you already have your stud RB you have to grab that elite WR because the drop off from the top 6 or 7 guys is huge while value at RB can be easily had in later rounds. Last year in non PPR league only 6 WR were in the top 50 of all point earners in FF. At your pick there you still had R.Wayne, A. Boldin and G. Jennings, but to your credit you were still able to snag Wayne with your next pick (I'm guessing) so it all worked out great with how you handled it.
BTW Rodgers is gonna be a monster this year...monster.

See I think if Ryan Grant bounces back big and their D steps up some, Rodgers isn't going to be required to sling it around so much this year.
But anyway, as far as my WR's, I'm banking on either Holmes or Hester stepping up big time this year. I think either are very strong possibilities. And me going RB2 before WR1, my second and third picks were back to back so that could've gone either way. I know the strength of the top half dozen or so WR's. If I had been picking out of the top 5 I probably would have gone Fitzgerald with my first pick.
Thanks for the comments guys. This is my first fantasy draft in a couple of years (I've just been so busy the last few seasons) and I forgot how much fun all this is.

Solid team. Not a fan of Mendenhall though...might be a waste of a roster space. Can't complain with Lynch as your #3. (Lynch would have been drafted late first-early second if it wasn't for his suspension.) I like Housh & Wayne...and either holmes, hester, or Nicks should be a pleasant surprise. You just need Palmer to stay healthy.
And I think Rodgers will have a GREAT year. He was only 23 points behind Brees last season. Mostly due to the face Rodgers ran for 200 yards and four rushing TD's. Some people around the NFL believe that his receiving core is better than Brees' in NO.
