I figured from the beginning that this guy was not qualified. I belived I heard somewhere that Zorn promised that he would hire him if he ever got his chance to be a head coach. Well these are the results when you have individuals who aren't qualified making key decisions. Smith was a freaking running backs coach before he joined the Skins with little to no experience creating gameplans. The lack of creativity is quite evident. He and Zorn are to blame for the offense sucking so bad. He has to go. He can take Greg Blache with him.

He doesn't do that much anyways..

Zorn calls th plays.. Sherman knows Zorn's playbook and can help teach it to the players. That's about all he does. It's just a title..

I just think the team needs to pray harder.

Well Zorn's playbooks must consists of 2 or 3 plays. That's how it looks to me.

Doc said this morning on the radio that the team has no counters to anything they run (i.e. run left)

I went to training camp one day and I couldn't find Sherman Smith. Maybe he wasn't there that day, but it was odd. The guy was not at training camp.

I'm guessing he means play. Unless he means they need to look to religion to get better. :whoknows:

We have 2 'offensive coordinators' (Zorn/Smith) who had never been courted for such a position by any other team in the NFL. Unfortunately, we were insightful enough to make one of them a head coach, as well. We made a HFC out of a guy Seattle wouldn't promote past QB coach despite a lifetime of service to their organization, and we're surprised by these results?

This team will improve only when we hire a legitimate elite GM, allow him to hire his own coaching staff, and the owner gets the hell out of the way. My hope is for Cerrato and the entire coaching staff to be canned, and to be replaced by an elite GM candidate, Shanahan at head coach, and a new innovative/aggressive DC.

Or the could just beg Greg Williams to come back ... or bribe him.

iirc we actually had to increase our offer to zorn because seattle was going to promote him to oc when mora took over for holmgren

Or more likely there was a chance that might happen, so they paid more.

Our offensive coaching staff continues to be a major cluster****.

i thought that when he came here. Not like the titans were an offensive juggernaut when smith was there.

problem is, Shanahan will not be here long. Plus, I'm still hoping that Zorn can turn it around. I'm tired of the change. And that is the biggest problem. You want the entire staff to be "canned", but that just means at least 2 more years of pain.

QUOTE]

How many times do we have to watch a busted HB Screen play where Campbell ends up throwing the ball away when the screen doesn't develop? I think I've seen it two or three times this year, where Campbell just fires the ball into Portis' feet because there is no chance for the screen to work. Shouldn't there be another option or two designed into the play? Opposite field receivers deep post or something? It seems like there is a complete sell out for the screen, and when it isn't there, the entire play has failed. This is lame....

Zorn, Smith, they stink, blah, blah, blah,.....

Who hired them?

Root of the problem = Snyder. Yes,...I am :obvious:

Or blackmail!

I don't actually want Gregg Williams back. I thought he was a decent DC but I thought he had his problems too.
