He was traded to San fran for Damian Moss, Kurt Ainsworth and a minor leaguer. Seems like a decent trade considering how much money he was asking for....FYI he wanted 10 million a season. The O's offered him 7 million. He got greedy and got traded. F Him

If I heard correctly, on ESPN they just said that the Os will be spending up to 65 million dollars this offseason on free agents. I'm going to be pretty pissed if they wind up with Guerrero.

Vlad Guerrero is a pretty dang good player but I don't see the need to get him or someone like Griffey...I was hoping they would trade some of the old guys like Conine, Surhoff, Batista, Segui, Cordova for some young talent. Hopefully they can rebuild their sh*tty farm system

Anyone have the story yet?

Ainsworth is a good arm - very good upside...provided his shoulder blade heals correctly.

Moss is a good Lefty too if he can maintain his control.

Orioles Trade Ponson to Giants for More Arms

Associated Press

The Baltimore Orioles have traded their best pitcher.

The O's reached a deal today to send right-hander Sidney Ponson to the San Francisco Giants. In return, they'll get at least one proven major-leaguer with a big upside -- left-hander Damian Moss.

Also coming to the Orioles are right-hander Kurt Ainsworth and a minor leaguer.

Ponson is having his best season -- 14-6 with a 3.77 ERA -- and he becomes a free agent at the end of the year.

Hopefully Vlad will be a Senator this time next year and the O's and their pathetic, disgusting owner will be a distant memory.

Amen to that.

It will be a cold day in hell when there is a baseball team in DC, at least during Selig's disaster of a tenure. The Expos players recently voted to play all of their games in Puerto Rico. The Commish won't let them trade any of their Latin players. DC and Northern Virginia have grown tired of the charade and are refusing to let Selig strong-arm them. This all adds up to a slim to none chance that DC will get the Expos. And Slim just moved to Portland.
I hope the O's get all of the Expos' talent next year. F them and Bud Selig!
