Hmmm, don't know what to make of this. Are the Eagles that bad at LB right now?

I remember reading that. I didn't realize he actually was on the field, I figured it was just a depth move. Yeesh ...

Something had to be done. The way Trotter played on Sunday, they might as well have folded up shop on the season if he had to keep playing that many snaps.

Weakside? I always thought that was his best fit. The Eagles will probably use him in the middle.

I would have given up a 5th for Will Witherspoon. We develop linebackers well and he definitely could have contributed and freed up Orakpo to play DE more.

Problem is that Witherspoon's a natural WILL, which is the position Rocky excels at. We need a SAM linebacker so we can put Orakpo where he belongs.

Was this a case of Spags feeling bad for his ex-coaching pal McDermott?

Sure is nice that he was playing under Spags. I assume he'll be starting at MLB on Monday night.

As long as it's not Trotter. Cooley probably couldn't wait to see #54 come on the field.

Even if he doesn't know the calls, which he won't as MIKE, he's still an upgrade.

Plus, the redskins offense is incredibly easy to defend against right now.

The only problem you will have with Witherspoon is against the run. He will be better in pass coverage, but much worse in run support with a big bruising back. He will wear down in that position, and he's already banged up.

He's an upgrade over both Gaither and Trotter in every respect. Run, pass, making polenta, you name it.

You were wrong when you said the Eagles wouldn't miss Stewart Bradley.

I did think Gaither would be able to fill in at MIKE, but when Dawkins left, all the other positions changed slightly. Starting Macho Harris was certainly not in the gameplan in AUG.

Anyway, the Eagles will not have to work too hard to defend the Redskins offense. It's pretty simple.

I cant believe we couldnt give something for Will. There are other Lb's who we couldve used. Just a vet that can play were Orakpo Is playing.

I am happy b/c I was a big fan of Brandon's while he played at WA State Univ. So now I can cheer for him in the NFL. He made the iggles roster as the 6th WR- so they def are stacked at WR, and won't take a hit getting a new LB.

As if we didn't have enough problems of our own going into Monday Night.

The Eagles upgrading is not what I wanted to read.

Hail.
