First year I've done Fantasy Football, just finished the 25-round draft on Yahoo. Here's how it stands:

STARTERS
-------------------
QB: Brett Favre
QB: Tommy Maddox
RB: Priest Holmes
RB: Stephen Davis
RB: Kevan Barlow
WR: Randy Moss
WR: Torry Holt
WR: Laveranues Coles
TE: Shannon Sharpe
TE: Bubba Franks
WR/TE: Quincy Morgan
WR/RB: Javon Walker
K: Matt Stover
DEF: Miami
DEF: New Orleans
D: Ronde Barber
D: Kendrell Bell
CB: Fred Smoot
DL: Warren Sapp

BENCH
--------------------
WR David Patten
WR Mark Boerigter
WR Frank Sanders
QB Chris Redman
DL Dwight Freeney
DB Patrick Surtain

Any comments? Think this'll be a successful team? I'm thinking about starting Freeney and Surtain over Smoot and Sapp, but I haven't decided yet. Any input would be appreciated.

First, why so many players?

Second, who are you playing with? Ten-year olds.

Your team looks good but, it's a bit unrealistic. Why would you need defensive players if you have team defenses. Something doesn't add up. No way you can get twenty-three out of twenty-five starters in a draft that size unless you are one of only two teams.

Don't insult my intelligence with this bogus junk.

Jeez, what's with the hostility? I'm just trying to get opinions, I'm not trying to insult your damn intelligence and I didn't make it up. Don't believe me? Look at the damn league page right here (http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/show?page=leaguehome&lid=185109). OK? Yeah, thanks, now shut up. Anyone have any real advice?

Alright, alright, I apologize. It's not your fault that the other players in your league draft a little strange. I saw a kicker go in the fifth, and a defensive player going in the fourth or fifth, and Michael Bennett in the sixth(injured), what's up with that.

Your team is good, I just don't understand the whole defense thing. Also, with all those players it's tough when someone gets injured cause I know there can't be that many players available.

Again, I apologize, it just seemed fishy. Good luck, you can win the league with this team.

Thanks. It's OK, the reason the league was a little funky draft-wise was there were a few casual fans who didn't know the whole fantasy deal. Worked out pretty well for me though

How many teams are in your league? I've had one league finish its draft already. It was a good thing I did a quick ranking of players as the draft was conducted as soon as the league filled and most of us had no idea. Here is what I came out with:
QB Culpepper, Daunte (QB-Min)
WR Robinson, Koren (WR-Sea)
WR Coles, Laveranues (WR-Was)
WR Stallworth, Donte' (WR-NO)
RB Alexander, Shaun (RB-Sea)
RB Barber, Tiki (RB-NYG)
TE Sharpe, Shannon (TE-Den)
WR/RB Dillon, Corey (RB-Cin)
Bench Green, Trent (QB-KC)
Bench Smith, Onterrio (RB-Min)
Bench Zereoue, Amos (RB-Pit)
Bench Kinney, Erron (TE-Ten)
Bench Collins, Kerry (QB-NYG)
K Vinatieri, Adam (K-NE)
DEF Pittsburgh (DEF-Pit)
Bench Tennessee (DEF-Ten)

slammer, you need to cut frank sanders and get another RB big time! maybe even cut patten and grab a second. anhd you need to trade for larry johnson. just in case...
other than that you have a very large, solid team. wish i were drafting with those guys.

MM, your team looks great too. i am hoping mine turns out that way. the only problem you'll have this season is deciding who to start!

This is like on sandbox, you play defensive players not teams, and you play 3 of them.

Jbooma, his roster has both individual players and team defenses. That's what I don't understand. I seen leagues with one or the other but never both.

Thanks for the input, fellas. I picked up Larry Johnson and Chad Morton (after realizing that return yards are fairly heavily favored in the league) and I think that should give me some good depth for opening day. I dropped Boerigter and Sanders to get them.

you should pick up boerigter and cut patten. in the NE offense brady spreads the ball around so much that nobody puts up great fantasy numbers.. plus their run game is weak so the passing lanes will be flooded...
if anyone in your league has half a brain he won't be there for you though.

great pick ups with the RB's though.

Agree with you there AJ Boerigter should put up much better numbers than Patten, i would still keep looking for another back tho
