Fred Davis L34rned how to catch ball..

Fred Davis, needs to not be on the field at this point in time. Guy needs to learn how to catch a football, and even worse how to throw a block. It's a shame JC has to have this. Straight truth Fred Davis is not a starting TE right now, needs to learn some basic fundementals. Everyone seems to be riding this guys bandwagon though.. with 2 flat tires. Right now Todd Yoder benefits the offense more than Davis. He is a non superstar hard working TE who get zero credit. Well at least he knows how it feels to win a SB..

Your Focus should be more on Moss,The guy who drop 2 perfect JC passes back to back,one was the td fade last week,then Sundays bomb right in the the hands ,Moss should not have jumped in the air to try to catch the ball..IMO no one is preforming in this Offense

Its dumb interweb lingo.. 3=E 4=A.. ahh nvm. Yeah Davis might be a good player in a few years but I really dont think he is a starter right now. Yeah you should be a TE if you cant block... well if thats the case why dont we have marko mitchell play TE, Im not certain but I kind of leaning towards the fact he might be a better catcher. I just get this distinct feeling that anytime Davis gets the ball there is going to be a turnover... must be from the monday night game against the eagles, when billick or whoever said it a play before when he made a catch "he might want to think about keeping a lower body leverage to keep the ball secure" and sure enough the next play he tries to superman for a few yards and puts it on the ground.. WTG!

Davis has great hands. Even the most sure handed pass catchers will drop a few every now and then. I watched Antonio Gates drop several wide open balls against the Giants last night that were way better throws than what Campbell gave to Davis and Gates is pretty sure handed.

Well said! For all pratical purposes this seems to be Fred's rookie season. He hasn't had game time experience.

The throw to him by Jason was off target, and he made a great effort to attempt to catch it.

Why not criticize the 5th year pro Jason "dumbbell" campbell for his stupid inaccurate throw.

Fred is a good pass receiving TE with speed. We ought to use him leveraging his skills/strengths. ;)

Frankly I blame the staff for not getting everyone involved. The 49ers of the Walsh error were famous for spreading the ball around, and you knew they were doing good when they had 5-7 guys who had caught balls including Tight Ends and backs.

WOW, write him off after a few games of starting. Stop drinking the CooleyAid, his season should be over. If there are takers, Id even trade him. Like Miami for Jake Grove. Moss to 49ers for Davis Baas, Carter to Raiders for Gallery. This is if there is no salary cap of course, otherwise we are stuck with these players.
