View Full Version : Take-over Bid (Bye Bye Snyder)

Can't the fans flex their power? Maybe we can start here.

Apparently, there's something missing when it comes to building a corporate culture that has reprehensibly disappeared since his arrival in our nation's capital. In case you haven't seen - his other investments are not flourishing either.

He seems to be horrible with people within the NFL, and possibly horrible with people altogether. His marketing background was self made (dropped out of UMaryland) which means that he looks for shortcuts. He no doubt has natural talent with finances and marketing - but people skills, knowing how to sell, and knowing how to lead are on vastly different levels and are also rare combinations which are generally held by most CEO's. Daniel Snyder is a lackluster "CEO". We've seen what he's not so good at over the past 9 years - the proof is before your eyes every humdrum Sunday when our guys take the field. Snyder is not a leader and his abilities are severely flawed when it comes to running a professional football organization. I'm done with him - here's my rash solution:

If every skins fan should agree to put up $100 a person (money well spent?) and put it into an interest bearing account, (6 month CD...albeit most rates currently blow dong) we could seriously raise enough cash to take on a wealthy partner (mervis, bon jovi, warren buffet? anybody but Dan Snyder) and make the team truly ours. 100,000 donations = 1 Billion dollars. If the number of donations/investments falls short of that - we can make it up with separate CD accounts which will ultimately be aggregated upon maturity and subsequently put towards a take-over bid for the team. I know that the organization is worth over $1.7 billion but however much we raise would be convincing enough to inspire a change and gain a true potential owner of this team who recognizes that building human values goes beyond the dollar sign and should be the true way to establish a foundation for any successful team.

So how about we take a mock vote on this idea - $100 bucks would you be in or out? Do true fans really need further convincing? For the not so loyal - maybe an IPO of a tangent company to the Washington Redskins could be a solution. Complications are involved, and after those complications are surpassed there would be even more complications to mend - but one thing at a time - while raising hard earned dollars - and a turnaround could happen to our beloved football team.

In or out ladies and gents? Cast your voice.

Dude Snyder is not selling the team. People need to just give up this banter. He is a Redskins fan. By the way this idea has already been brought before. Search is your friend. ;)

You're going to need at least $2 Billion to buy the Redskins. And that doesn't include the extra cash on hand that the NFL wants an owner to have. Do you think you can find 20 million people to put up $100? Plus, the NFL requires one majority owner...who will that be?

I don't follow your math. 100,000 donations ... I only get $10 million.

Umm, might want to check your math. 100,000 donations of $100 is $10 million. You're about $990 million short. :)

Not to mention the fact that the Redskins are a private company. Snyder would have to want to sell before anyone could talk about buying it.

And any buyer would need to have their offer approved not just by Snyder, but also by the other owners in the league. Which is how we ended up with Snyder to begin with.

Huh?

LOL I had hope you came in to close this thread.

All these callouts for buyouts are so ridiculous on so many levels.

Even if you have 10 Billion, it doesn't give you the license to buy the franchise.

/close thread :silly:

Well, if we do buy the team, I vote that tizzy2k5 should not be our CFO or work in accounting.
