Anyone else from this area going to Dallas for the game? I go every year to visit family (we are all skins fans), and go to the game. I got my ticket months ago when the schedule came out. Tailgating info appreciated. I always join the Dallas Redskin fan club there in the parking lot. Hogettes usually go.:dallasuckTough season, but I'm still going.:dallasuck

The skins in a stadium of 100,000+. Thats rough. Sadly they'll probably choke worse than a hooker at a hotdog eating contest.
It would be nice to hand them a loss in the new stadium though.

Actually I'm trying to make this the first season I've gone to all three division home games. I've been to Skins, Giants, and Eagles games throughout the years, but never all three in the same season. I was at the Giants home opener, so this game is next in line.

I will update those that are going on the Tailgate location at the stadium for the Dallas Redskin fan club. It's a whole lot of people (usually) in burgundy and gold. Saturday evening there is a group rally at a local sports bar, and items are bid off to raise money for the local children's hospital. I take with me Redskins items and the cups from the stadium to donate to the cause.

Heck yeah! The great thing about the rivalry is that even when either team is having a bad season or is an awful team, it's still possible to beat the other, and has happened often. And even when one team sucks, it's a safety valve for getting too depressed.

Just to pitch in, if anyone that is coming here for the game has any questions about the area and such, feel free to PM me and I will be glad to help out. As I have only been a few times now to the new stadium, I don't know it as well as I had gotten to know Texas Stadium. But I'll still be happy to assist in any way I can. Despite being bitter rivals, we still like other fans to have an enjoyable experience...well kinda. :D

Somebody needs to step up. And quickly.

For real. I'm really missing her this week.
I've been looking forward to this trip for months. Not having a TG to attend will certainly detract from my gameday experience.
I'm surprised there aren't any ESrs in the DFW area looking to set something up for Sunday, considering the large numbers of Redskins fans that usually attend that game. Dallas is usually the largest road ES TG of the year.

In order for it to be a choke, wouldn't that constitute that they were favored to win this game? I don't think that there were any illusions about who was going to win this game or I should say favored to win this game. We have looked better over the last 2 games, but to think that were somehow going to be the favorite in this game or that we expect to win based on our offensive production and problems with stupid penalties is crazy.

All those going to Dallas...there is no official tailgate by the dallasredskin club this year at the stadium, due to lack of numbers of their members going to the game for financial reasons.
Instead , they are having a game day ralley at their "clubhouse", Austin Ave grill.
Yes, Blondie and crew gave wonderful tailgate parties at the old stadium the last few years.
So, it's up to whoever is going to give a shout out to us, and invite us to a tailgate...
I left a note with some folks at the fan club in Dallas to contact me if any members are going to the game.
I wanna tailgate with some skins fans there!!!!

Any idea which hotel is the team hotel this year? I live in the Dallas area, and I love greeting our boys the day before the game. Also, if you're going to the game, there's a shopping center down the street from the stadium called Lincoln Square. There's a great breakfast place there called the 5 and Diner. It's the only place I've ever seen pancakes and martinis on the same menu! Anyway, if you spend $40 there, or anywhere in that shopping area, you can leave your car there during the game. Parking for games has been going for $40-$75, so at least you get something for your money at Lincoln Square. Check it out at www.lincolnsquarearlington.com (http://www.lincolnsquarearlington.com).

Blue Lot 15....we'll be there around 8:00 when the gates open. 8-10 of us going-- all friends of mine from HS, college, or even earlier. I'm the only Skins fan-- no real Cowboy fans mixed in either, but they'll definitely be looking forward to laughing at me.
Won't be a major set-up; we've got two vehicles and I believe we have a grill and they normals snacky stuff. Plenty of beer as well I'm sure. Not super organized-- all I know is that we'll be there sometime around 8:00 if all things go well.
Not familiar with the stadium/lots either...all I know is that we have two parking passes in blue lot 15 and we'll be in one of the designated parking spots.

Whaddya know, blue lot 15 has been my official tailgate lot this season. That lot is across the street from the stadium but the walk isn't too far. I do have to say though that unless they have finally finished...last time I was there (Falcons game on Oct 25th) there was STILL no grass and it was just dirt in the tailgate areas. The parking spots are done, it's just the areas surrounding them that weren't last time I was there. Of course, it has been close to a month since I saw it last, so chances are it is completed now. But I thought that would be the case when I was there for the Sept 20 Giants game, when it still wasn't done a month later.

... choke worse than a hooker at a hotdog eating contest ...
Anyone care to explain this?
It would seem to me you would associate a hooker with someone who is practiced enough to not have a gag reflex, or be able to suppress it, thereby allowing her to excel by not needing to chew and swallow the hot dogs.
She could therefor just slide them down her throat one after the next, without choking.
What am I missing here? The phrase "choke worse than a hooker at a hotdog eating contest" does not seem to make sense.

The Dallasredskins.com crew goes to a place as their home base to watch the games...go to their web site, click on newsletters to get info on a sports bar. Think it's in Plano. Arlington has lots of places to eat, etc, you should be able to find a sports bar there.

It says 5-10 minutes on here, but I think that is underestimating it by a little. It's not like it's far away, because it isn't. But the walk seems a little longer because of how close the stadium appears to be due to the size. It will seriously look like you are within 100 yards, when you are really about a mile away.

We went to a concert at the Death Star, and parked at Lincoln Square. It was about a 15-minute walk, but probably would've been faster if I didn't inhale a chicken fried steak before the walk. It's really not that bad. Also, the Wal Mart next to the stadium had some cheap Redskin souvenirs the other day. T-shirts, jewelry, hats, keychains, and some other stuff. Still no info on the team hotel?
