For the first time we actually scored more than 17 points. I think the real credit needs to be given to our biggest silent hero Ladell Betts.

Great job again Ladell!!!!!

For the first time we had a running game this year that has actually forced the other team to play the run and what happens 27 points. His longest run was only 18 yards yet he still manage to get 114 yards on 26 carries for a 4.4 yard average. In the 9 previous games portis only broke that once in the KC game and if you take away that one big run for 78 he averaged 2 yards a carry.

I have been complaining here and with friends for so long that the problem with our passing isn't the passing but the running game.

Ladell is a good running back that has quietly spent most of his career backing up RB's he is just as good as, if not better.

How many here remember Betts in 2006 when Portis got hurt after 10 games and only one 100 yard game?
For those that don't remember here is the last 6 games with Betts:
5 consecutive 100 yard games
770 total yards
156 carries
4.9 average yards a carry

If you take that and add that for an entire 16 game season it comes to 2052 yards a year!

You make the call.
