My family has been long time Redskins fans, but my father is handicapped and has never been able to get around stadiums easily. Therefore my mother never gets to go. He refuses to take her out of fear.

This marks the first year I've finally had ticket accessibility and I got to take my mother to the game against the Broncos. I warned her that the experience is pretty awful, but I knew deep down she would be her own judge come gameday.

Well I was completely wrong. You guys played your hearts out, the way we always wanted you to play. The game was close, but not because we were playing poorly against a bad team. This time we were playing hard against a superior opponent. You guys played like it was the last football game of your career.

I don't know when the next time she'll get to go, but you've left her a very memorable experience. There's no impression like a first impression. Thanks guys.

I'd never describe Chris Simms as 'a superior opponent'.

I forgot we played the Denver Chris Simms' yesterday.

Good story OP, sunday was definitely a good game to take someone to their first game. Glad they enjoyed it, thanks for sharing.
