With Cooley being a hot topic yesterday and today I would like to know what everyone thinks about his broadcast abilities.

Does Cooley have the "it" factor in the booth or on the set?

I really did not think the segments on the NFLNetwork were that great. They did not offer great insight into the changes on the Redskins. The segment covering the NFL/ProBowl with Woodson was particularly weak. He just basically stated the same thing Rod said after each sentence. Chris offered no real insight and I thought his tone was lacking through-out. He may improve but thumbs down so far.

JMHO. :cool2:

Have at it.

I plan on having Cooley help us to a few Super Bowls before he hits the booth.

He should replace Joe Buck on Fox. I would actually love to see an Aikmen/Cooley broadcast combo, especially during a Redskins/Cowboys game.

Why wait?

He should just retire and start now! :silly:

I've heard him sit in with Joe B. during a Capitals game a few months ago and he did pretty well. I'd advise him though not to quit his day job.

He'll be on again tonight, so he'll have another chance to audition. :)

I thought he was terrible. He has a lack of experience though. Too many pauses and he wasn't very smooth. Plus he slumped down in his chair which looked awful.

As far as in the broadcast booth, I am not sure, but in terms of his wit and his writing, he is awesome. If he could just translate that to the broadcast booth then he'd do fantastic.

Yeah trade him because he did not do so well in the booth. And buy that Mars acreage, nothing but growth there.

I agree, I was disappointed because reading his blogs lead me too believe he could make the transition. Not that it matters much, he is good at his day job.
