No, a bottle of coke did not fall from the heavens causing cultural chaos and this thread is not even about concession prices. (I wonder if anyone but me remembers the Gods must be Crazy. Kooky and fun little movie.

Anywho, it is about the message of the Gods to mortal man. Well, Art Monk was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2008 and what etheral ripple did it create. This team realized it needed wide receivers and drafted Kelly, Thomas, and Davis. Now, two years later and after almost a decade of neglect, the Gods have chosen to accept an aging demigod over the rainbow bridge and into Valhallah.

Why this year? Why after so many years of being neglected did Russ Grimm earn his demi-deity status? Is it a Coke bottle from the sky. Is it a message that after years of patchwork and last minute fixes, we will address our line. Will the parallel of Thomas, Kelly, and Davis finally occur and we will find two to three new linemen.

Does Grimms' induction guarentee that the lines will be the focus of the Redskins' present.

Silly minds want to know.

I remember the movie The Gods Must be Crazy. I haven't seen that movie in years.

Anyway, I like the parallels you have here. I hope this does put the thought of getting the OL in the right direction. With Allen and Shanahan picking players I believe the Skins will be able to rebuild the OL.

Does this mean we'll trade our 1st for mutiple 2nds?

Who has multiple 2nds?

Great movie. I don't think it has much of a connection, though. They're gonna seriously upgrade the O-Line because it's simply what needs to be done to provide a winning product on the field. easy as that. Whether they mainly do it through the draft, trading, free agency, or some of each remains to be seen. But we WILL upgrade the O-line this offseason. You can take that to the bank.

It should be a signal that we will draft our next HOF Hog and our new anchor at LT with one Russell Okung with the 4th pick overall

I don't know. Prophecies are never that specific. The Gods may be crazy but even they want plausible deniability.

Actually, I think a Coke bottle with a face drawn on it would probably be a more efficient Tackle than Heyer.

I like the parallels as well. Although I'm not sure about 3 OL in the second round?;)
