Pretty sweet little quiz I found. It's a test that gives you 15 minutes to see if you can list all the teams from the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, and MLS from every state. Now since the majority of everyone on this board don't have a clue about the MLS just do your total number you got right out of 114. If you can guess some MLS teams than thats awesome. I got all of them right with about 30 seconds left. 2 teams gave me a lot of trouble.

Post your scores and don't cheat!!
Edit: I also forgot to add that you don't have to type out the entire city. Just type out the team name and it'll automatically fill it out for you.

Annual ES tradition? Why not?
I got 101 while being distracted by a two-year-old.

IMO Football is #1, Hockey is 2a, and Soccer is 2b. And honestly, MLS is pretty decent. No, it's not top level Premiership or La Liga, but it's better than alot of the crappy Mexican games they show here in South Florida, and it's on par with alot of second tier European football.

Kind of sad that the Redskins are listed under Maryland :(
Also, was surprised Philadelphia Union is already listed.
Also, I suck at naming NBA and NHL teams.

Yeah, I typed us in right off the bat, saw us under Maryland and wondered how there could still be that many under DC. Also, the Union were the last ones I got. I didn't think they'd be on there, and it took me a second of being really stumped to realize that the Union were the missing Philly team.

I got 88. I would have done better if they listed it by sport and by division. I dont think state by state I think division by division (except for soccer cuz soccer just sucks!)

Maybe he was referring to the fact that the Redskins don't play like a "pro" team ?

120. Shocked I got as many MLS teams as I did. Went about it wrong, though. Tried to do it by state, when I should have done it by league. Otherwise I wouldn't have missed:
San Antonio Spurs
Memphis Grizzlies
The other 7 were soccer.

Exactly. I would just look at the state, name as many as I could in whatever sport as quickly as I could, and then fill in the rest going sport by sport.

Boo hoo. First of all, the game is only "rigged" if you take out soccer. And even if you "rig" the game, a sub-100 score is garbage town. Good job.

Actually it was pretty simple: 6 down x 4 across = 24. :D
But seriously I got 89 right. Sometime I would get stuck on a spelling so I had to google it. oh well it was good fun.
Thanks OP for the link!

Well, if you consider the fact that I wasn't even willing to take the time to go back to the first page and confirm that 24 was the right number, you might have a better idea as to where I'm coming from.

Soccer is not a pro sport in the USA.
It was shocking to learn that after drinking contaminated tap water more than a dozen people actually thought that soccer was entertaining.
Electric shock therapy may help half of them come to their senses.

There is very little in this world that is more entertaining than Monty Python. I'm really partial to the Crunchy Frog, Dead Parrot, and Argument Clinic skits myself. I think there are several versions of that soccer skit. I seem to remember them saying something along the lines of "We'll come back to the game if anything exciting actually happens". Different strokes for different folks, though. I crap on soccer because it's not for me, but I'm only joking about it. Mostly.

I really dont see the hate Americans have of soccer. I really dont.
Many will accuse it of being boring, but those same people will go and watch some defensive 7-3 football game where neither team has over 200 yards of offense.
I dont get it.

You've got to remember that you're on a football message board. From my experience, football fans, while more likely than the average American to like soccer simply due to the fact that they like sports, are also more likely to hate soccer than the average American. More Americans are ambivalent about soccer than hate it, and about as many hate it as they do love it at this point.
Also, keep in mind, these numbers will continue to trend more and more towards ambivalence instead of hate and then enjoyment instead of ambivalence as American youth soccer programs continue to grow. 50-100 years from now club soccer within the US and our international soccer programs will up there with those in Spain, England, Italy, the Netherlands, etc.
