Some of you guys may have met Mondizzle and myself at various ES tailgates. I've been dating her for 6 years now. As of tonight, we are engaged to be married.


After a rather non-eventful Valentine's Day together, I went to the store and came back with some roses and a bottle of champagne. As she was cutting the roses and getting them arranged in the vase, I put on our "song" and popped the question. Scariest moment of my life... in a good way.

Well, it was already our anniversary (of dating). I don't really go for the whole romantic Valentine's Day thing, but I had the ring and it was burning a hole in my pocket. I found myself thinking of clever ways I could ask her to marry me while she was around, wishing I could tell her of my plans.

So I was thinking to myself yesterday, I can't do it on a weekday and I don't want to take the chances of wussing out next weekend, so what time better than now. I quickly formulated a plan and put it into action.


Cliche or not, it was an awesome decision. I feel so great that I did it.
