I have to cut down to 14, we start 1 QB 2 RB 3 WR/TE and a K
points are 6 for a TD 3 for a QB to throw for a TD, bonus points for every 100 yds throwing and 50 rush/receiving.

QB C Pennington
QB D Brees
QB S McNair
RB A Thomas
RB C Brown
RB Edge
RB L Gordon
RB L Jordan
RB L Johnson
RB L Ned
RB M Shipp
RB O Smith
WR C Rogers
WR E Moulds
WR R Wayne
WR T Holt
TE J Shockey
K J Wilkins

They aren't in any rank order, it is a 8 player keeper league. There are some no brainers of course but i also have to look to the future to keep fairly strong.

Thanks in advance for any advice

so you need to cut four players:

1. Brees, you are set with the other two. and McN and Penny have diff. bye weeks, so you are OK.
2. Chris Brown, even though i don't think EG can make it a full season. Brown was over-rated. way too upright a runner he will get pummeled in the pros. also has injury concerns of his own.
3. L. Ned, who the hell is he anyways?
4. take your pick from the remaining RB's. i would keep Gordon, because if Faulk goes down he will be starting in an explosive O. plus he'll have great trade value. looks like OSmith will be the starter on a good O with a good OL. Larry Johnson, well we all know why he is valuable. still a rookie, but KC has an excellent OL and a RB with injury ?'s... Shipp is the best RB in ARI and they too have a good line, but that's it. and he isn't starting. then there's ATrain... who has entered the dog-house with his team. they are talking about starting Adrian Peterson over him now, or at least gonna give him the opportunity. and LaMont Jordan, best RB on his team too, but he doesn't start. you have a tough choice on this one.

take your choice on the fourth, but think about the keeper factor.

Thanks AJ
Larry ned was the guy getting a lot of hype in minnesota i picked him up just in case smith went down.
I have until the day before the skins/jets game to do the cutdown so hopefully things will fall into place.

McNair is a started....so choose between Brees and Pennington. I am wary of Boston staying healthy all season, so I would go Pennington.
Larry Ned goes bye-bye. Chris Brown is also hurt, but could be of value next year in keeper leagues. If A-Train looses his starting job to Adrian Peterson, which he might, he too could be cut bait. Certainly keep L. Gordon, as Faulk has become injury prone, Keep L. Jordan - ditto for C. Mart and keep Shipp, as Emmitt will not last.
Basically, after writing this whole thing, I realize I have just re-written what AJ wrote...

thanks it seems like you both are saying what i was thinking, i am trying to trade a couple of players to help ease the numbers.
