I'm sure people have attended one of these this year.... I'm going on Monday... Anyone who has gone have any thoughts on it? Waste of time, or good? I normally go to training camp, but this would be the first time I've attended an OTA.....

How does one get a ticket for one of these, I've seen tons of people post pics and don't know how they got tickets. I'd love to watch a practice without all the hassles of training camp

I went this past Tuesday.
My experience was very friendly. They give you name tags before you enter the park. They offer a tent with free food and drink near the practice field. They also did a free raffle. The staff was great! Actually, as soon as my friend and I arrived, Bruce Allen came over to shake our hand and talk to us for a quick minute.
The experience was intense. Watching practice with about 30 others was a unique experience. You were able to hear the coaches interact with the players. After everything was said and done about 10 players came over to sign autographs including Shanahan.
One thing of note: They don't like you to take pictures. They tell you not to before entering the park. Of course, there was some ass in the crowd that was doing it and was told multiple times to cease. He didn't.

My buddy has Suite tickets or something like that. They offer him many opportunities like this throughout the year. He was allowed to bring one guest along, which was me.
Another perk he told me about was that for training camp he gets to sit in some sort of tent with free food and drink again. He told me the players were pretty close as well.

I went in '07 and it was awesome. You get really close the players and coaches, and have the opportunity to go inside and walk around the fascility. Here are some pictures I took:

They never told us anything about pictures, in fact there was "photo time" when we could take pictures with players. Everyone was. But this was in '07 under Gibbs 2.0, maybe things have changed.

Wow that's awesome. That's the second time I've heard of Bruce interacting with the fans. He seems like a really great guy. What a change from Vinny, huh?

:pfft: About three representatives asked him to stop. He came up with some lame ass excuse about using the lens as a telescope so that he could see the players better. After each of the representatives left he boasted about taking more photo's. He was a tool the whole morning.

Yeah. It was as soon as we arrived as well. Very nice, candid and professional. Really took the time out if you wanted to chat a bit with him.
That reminds me, my brother had bought me a stitched knock-off jersey for Christmas a few years back. While I was getting some autographs, Fletcher noticed the color was off and joked around with the other players that I was a Chiefs fan. A little embarassing but I can say I was clowned by Fletcher once.:pfft:

We went on Tuesday also. Totally worth it just to talk to Bruce Allen. Just the nicest, most intelligent guy. And he spends time with each guest.
Also got autographs from Shanahan, London, Orakpo, McNabb, Cooley and like 15 others.
Oh, and watching a real pro football practice was a nice change. Don't even THINK about skipping the opportunity.

I went on Tuesday also. For those of you who asked. The OTA VIP Visit is by invite and it is for Club level and higher season ticket holders. Didn't see the guy with the camera. I can say that the entire event was put on with a lot of class. Everyone from the Event Staff , Players, Head Coach, and GM was super nice. I am really thankful to the players who came over to chat and sign autographs after practice. I really wish that I could have taken photos though.

I went to a VIP minicamp last month and had a great time. Watching practice with 30 people is very different than watching with thousands during training camp. The tent with food was nice, as was shaking hands and taking pics with lots of team officials and players after practice.
Unlike a previous poster, I was encouraged to take as many pics as I'd like. It was an amazing experience!
