The unidentified woman, who has been a masseuse for 12 years, filed the accusations Jan. 8, 2009, alleging Gore, who checked into the hotel as Mr. Stone and was 30 minutes late for his 10:30 p.m. in-room appointment, sexually assaulted her in his hotel room by forcing repeated, unwanted sexual touches.

At the time of the initial allegation, they said not enough evidence. She has shown no intention to prosecute, only to make claims in the media in the hopes of getting a payday. How could there possibly be enough evidence now? Do you have a link to the quote from the Oregon DA?


Also, Gore's spokespeople vehemently denied when the initial allegation was made back in 2006. They didn't comment now, other than to confirm that the Enquirer didn't contact them to even seek a comment before publishing the story

Portland paper continues to justify not running story:

(NEWSER) – That infamous stain on the pants of Al Gore’s masseuse is not semen. That’s the biggest revelation to come out of a Portland Tribune article written by former managing editor Todd Murphy, which once again explains why the paper didn’t run the Al Gore sexual assault story back in 2007, and attempts to correct public perception of the Tribune as “the newspaper that passed on a boffo story in its own backyard.”

Talking Points Memo breaks down the nearly 3,600-word article to find other new tidbits about Molly Hagerty’s allegations: She admitted failing a lie detector test. Some acquaintances questioned her credibility. Phone records confirm the call to a friend she claims she made after the Gore incident, and another call to a sexual assault hotline. And this isn’t the first time she’s been involved in a legal drama: In 1998 she sought, but was denied, a restraining order against a former boyfriend.
